Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan media digital Genially terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, ditandai dengan kesulitan dalam menganalisis informasi, mengajukan alasan, dan mengambil keputusan secara logis. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IV di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kab. Purwakarta yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 23 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian pretest dan posttest yang mengukur lima indikator berpikir kritis berdasarkan teori Ennis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik yang belajar dengan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Genially mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan model Cooperative Learning. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan uji N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan yang berada dalam kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Discovery Learning dengan media Genially efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPAS. ----- This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the digital media Genially on elementary school students' critical thinking skills in Science and Social Science (IPAS) learning. Students' critical thinking skills remain relatively low, as indicated by difficulties in analyzing information, reasoning, and making logical decisions. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 23 fourth-grade students in both the experimental and control classes at an elementary school in Purwakarta Regency. The research instrument was a pretest and posttest essay assessing five critical thinking indicators based on Ennis’s theory. The results showed that students who learned through the Discovery Learning model with Genially experienced a significant improvement in critical thinking skills compared to those who learned through the Cooperative Learning model. Data analysis using t-tests and N-Gain tests revealed gains in the moderate to high category. It can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model with Genially is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning.
