Abstract
Keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kompetensi abad 21 yang penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Namun, pada kenyatannya belum semua peserta didik sudah menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kritis sesuai dengan indikator yang diharapkan. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran think pair share dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik Fase B sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one grup pretest posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah peerta didik kelas IV-A yang berjumlah 23 orang dan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pretest dan posttest, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model think pair share cukup efektif dalam peningkatakan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Dengan demikian, model think pair share terbukti dapat memberikan kontribuai positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Critical thinking skills are one of the 21st century competencies that are important for students to have. However, in reality, not all students have demonstrated critical thinking skills according to the expected indicators. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of the think pair share learning model in improving critical thinking skills of elementary school Phase B students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample of this study was 23 students in grade IV-A who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through pretest and posttest tests, then analyzed using statistical tests to test the proposed hypotheses. The results of the study showed that the think pair share model was quite effective in improving critical thinking skills.Thus, the think pair share model has proven to contribute positively to improving critical thinking skills of grade IV students in IPAS (Science and Sosial Studies Integration) subject.
