    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh pendekatan Somatik, Audio, Visual, Intelektual (SAVI) berbantuan flipbook dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa sekolah dasar di Kota Cimahi. Metode yang digunakan adalah desain quasi-eksperimental dengan kelompok kontrol yang tidak setara, di mana siswa kelas lima dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan pendekatan SAVI dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi tes pemahaman matematis siswa dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan SAVI yang dibantu oleh flipbook memiliki pengaruh signifikan, dengan rata-rata skor posttest 74,25, dibandingkan dengan 64,00 di kelompok kontrol. Uji t menghasilkan nilai p sebesar 0,018, yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman matematis di kalangan siswa di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Kesimpulannya, penerapan pendekatan SAVI dengan flipbook berdampak positif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa, dan disarankan agar pendekatan ini lebih luas diterapkan dalam pendidikan matematika di sekolah dasar. ----- This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) approach supported by a flipbook in enhancing elementary school students' mathematical understanding in Cimahi City. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was employed, dividing the fifth graders into two groups: one that utilized the SAVI approach and another that followed the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method. Data was gathered through mathematical understanding assessments, including pretests and posttests. The findings reveal that the SAVI approach, supported by flipbooks, significantly enhances understanding, with an average posttest score of 74.25 in the experimental group compared to 64.00 in the control group. A t-test produced a pvalue of 0.018, highlighting a significant difference between the two groups. These results indicate a notable improvement in mathematical comprehension among students in the experimental group relative to those in the control group. In summary, using the SAVI approach with flipbook resources has a beneficial effect on students' mathematical understanding, and it is advisable to expand the use of this model in elementary mathematics education.
