Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pendidikan lingkungan hidup ditinjau dari konsep Tri-Silas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis tematik Braun & Clarke digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan lingkungan hidup di RA Alam Gaharu dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan langsung seperti menyiram tanaman, mengelola sampah, eksplorasi alam, dan pembiasaan hidup bersih. Ketiga nilai Tri-Silas, silih asih, silih asah, dan silih asuh terlihat dalam kegiatan yang menumbuhkan kasih sayang terhadap lingkungan, pembelajaran kolaboratif, serta pembentukan tanggung jawab dan kedisiplinan anak melalui bimbingan guru. Pendidikan lingkungan hidup yang diterapkan tidak hanya membentuk kesadaran lingkungan, tetapi juga menginternalisasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Sunda yang memperkuat karakter anak sejak usia dini. Namun, implementasi PLH juga menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan kesiapan anak untuk terlibat langsung dengan alam, kesulitan mengenali tekstur atau merespons kegiatan lingkungan, serta kurangnya kesinambungan praktik antara sekolah dan rumah. Dengan demikian, Tri-Silas menjadi konsep yang mendukung implementasi pendidikan lingkungan hidup berbasis karakter di satuan pendidikan anak usia dini. This research aims to find out how the implementation of environmental education is viewed from the Tri-Silas concept. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Braun & Clarke's thematic analysis technique was used to analyze the data in this study. The results showed that the implementation of environmental education at RA Alam Gaharu is carried out through direct activities such as watering plants, managing waste, exploring nature, and habituation to clean living. The three values of Tri-Silas, silih asih, silih asah, and silih asuh are seen in activities that foster compassion for the environment, collaborative learning, and the formation of children's responsibility and discipline through teacher guidance. Environmental education that is implemented not only forms environmental awareness, but also internalizes Sundanese local wisdom values that strengthen children's character from an early age. However, the implementation of EE also faces several challenges, such as children's limited readiness to engage directly with nature, difficulty recognizing textures or responding to environmental activities, and lack of continuity of practice between school and home. Thus, Tri-Silas is a concept that supports the implementation of character-based environmental education in early childhood education units.
