Abstract
-------- Based on previous research, the decline in the quality of thinking has become a concern for educators in elementary schools in dealing with fundamental problems in today's digital era society, not just the narrowing ability to think, but the erosion of essential critical thinking skills. The existence of Augmented Reality based on Assemblr EDU as an educational media in which it provides various types of learning content ranging from kindergarten to high school levels, especially in elementary schools. In this study focuses on the use of Augmented Reality media available in Assemblr EDU with the content of IPAS learning materials for grade VI elementary school material on the rotation and revolution of the Earth, rotation and revolution of the Moon, along with its impact in grade 6 SD. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of using Augmented Reality based on Assemblr EDU as an effort to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students on the material of the rotation and revolution of the Earth, rotation and revolution of the Moon, along with its impact. The indicators of critical thinking skills include: 1) Interpretation, 2) Analysis, 3) Evaluation, 4) Inference, 5) Explanation, and 6) Self regulation. This research uses quantitative method with quasi experimental, non-equivalent pre-test post-test control group design. The results of this study indicate that learning with Augmented Reality based on Assemblr EDU has a significant effect on the critical thinking skills of grade VI elementary school students in IPAS learning on Earth and Moon motion material. The average post-test score increased in the experiment class and control class. The average pre-test score of the experiment class was 50.86 and increased by 40.39 to 91.25 in the post-test. The average pre-test score of the control class was 41.79 and increased 16.07 to 57.86 in the post-test. N-Gain Score analysis shows the use of Augmented Reality Assemblr EDU has sufficient effectiveness. The average value of the N-Gain Score of the experimental class is 84.7399 or 84.74% including the effective category. The average value of the N-Gain Score of the control class is 27.92 or 27.9% including the ineffective category.
