    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peran strategis Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa internasional dan sarana komunikasi global. Implementasi pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi kendala pada optimalisasi pemanfaatan teknologi, sehingga proses pembelajaran belum maksimal dan inovatif sesuai perkembangan teknologi pendidikan. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media pembelajaran Baamboozle dengan Pendekatan EMRED terhadap peningkatan Kosakata Bahasa Inggris Siswa Kelas III SDN 4 Rangkasbitung Barat dan menentukan tindak lanjutnya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Quasi-Experimental Design, menerapkan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah 72 siswa kelas III SDN 4 Rangkasbitung. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan termasuk ke dalam teknik simple random sampling, yang terdiri atas 30 siswa kelas III A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan Baamboozle dan Pendekatan EMRED, 30 siswa kelas III B sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal pilihan ganda dan instrumen non-tes berupa angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test didapatkan nilai signifikansi Sig (2-tailed) <0,05 yang diartikan hipotesis awal (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima (Ha). Hasil uji tersebut dipertegas dengan persentase hasil uji N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 56,09%, lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol yang hanya sebesar 36,24%. Hasil angket juga menunjukan bahwa siswa menyatakan respon yang sangat baik terhadap media pembelajaran Baamboozle dan Pendekatan EMRED mencapai persentase skor rata-rata 88,67%. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran Baamboozle dengan Pendekatan EMRED sangat berpengaruh dan lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kosakata Bahasa Inggris kelas III SDN 4 Rangkasbitung Barat. This research is motivated by the strategic role of English as an international language and a means of global communication. The implementation of English learning in elementary schools still faces obstacles in optimizing the use of technology, so that the learning process has not been maximized and innovative according to the development of educational technology. The aim is to determine the effect of the application of Baamboozle learning media with the EMRED Approach on improving the English Vocabulary of Grade III Students of SDN 4 Rangkasbitung Barat and determine the follow-up. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design research design, applying a nonequivalent control group design. The population used is 72 grade III students of SDN 4 Rangkasbitung. The sampling technique used was included in the simple random sampling technique, which consisted of 30 students in class III A as an experimental class with Baamboozle and the EMRED Approach, 30 students in class III B as a control class using conventional learning. The data collection technique uses test instruments in the form of multiple-choice questions and non-test instruments in the form of student response questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the hypothesis test using a paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of Sig (2-tailed) <0.05 which means that the initial hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted (Ha). The test results were confirmed by the percentage of N-Gain test results in the experimental class of 56.09%, higher than the control class which was only 36.24%. The results of the questionnaire also showed that students expressed a very good response to Baamboozle learning media and the EMRED Approach achieving an average score percentage of 88.67%. It was concluded that the application of Baamboozle learning media with the EMRED Approach was very influential and more effective in improving English vocabulary in grade III of SDN 4 Rangkasbitung Barat.
