Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari oleh temuan pada peningkatan kemampuan perkembangan kognitif anak usia 4-6 tahun, yang mulai tidak sejalan dengan teori perkembangan kognitif Piaget. Hal ini merupakan pengaruh dari layanan pendidikan anak usia dini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dampak kurikulum PAUD dalam membangun perkembangan kognitif anak dengan hambatan perkembangan bahasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed method research design, yang diawali dengan pengumpulan data kualitatif tentang kurikulum PAUD yang dianalisis serta didukung dengan cara pengimplementasiannya, kemudian dilengkapi dengan hasil asesmen perkembangan kognitif anak usia sebagai data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa muatan dan implementasi kurikulum PAUD dapat mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif anak dengan hambatan perkembangan bahasa. Anak sudah mulai meninggalkan ciri pemikiran perkembangan kognitif pra operasional yang bersifat egosentris dan sentralisasi, selain itu anak memiliki kemampuan dalam melakukan seriasi, klasifikasi, konservasi, dan korespondensi yang merupakan kemampuan perkembangan kognitif tahap operasional kongkrit. Kata kunci: Kurikulum PAUD, Perkembangan Kognitif, Anak Dengan Hambatan Perkembangan Bahasa This study is based on the findings on the improvement the ability of cognitive development for children aged, which seemed not in line with Piaget's theory of cognitive development. This is the effect of early childhood education. The purpose of this study to find out the impact of Early childhood education curriculum in building cognitive development of children with language developmental barriers. The method used is a mixed method research design, begins with the collection of qualitative data on Early childhood education curriculum which then analyzed and supported by the means of its implementation, and then fitted with the results of the assessment of cognitive development of children aged 4-6 years as the quantitative data. The results shows that the content and implementation Early childhood education curriculum could develop cognitive abilities of children with language developmental barriers. It can be seen from the children's abilities in performing seriation, classification, conservation, and the correspondence; those are the concrete operational stage in the cognitive development ability.
