    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembinaan karakter disiplin peserta didik melalui program GENDIS di SDN Florida Kota Cilegon. Tugas dan tanggung jawab lembaga pendidikan sangat penting dalam membantu menumbuhkan karkter di dalam diri para peserta didik. Tidak hanya dalam bidang akademik, namun sekolah juga memiliki peran penting dalam menumbuhkan sikap afektif peserta didik, salah satunya yaitu sikap disiplin yang tentunya akan berguna bagi kehidupannya kelak di masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus (case study). Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner sebagai instrumen tambahan. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru kelas IV dan V, serta peserta didik kelas IV dan V SDN Florida Kota Cilegon. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pelaksanaan program GENDIS dilaksanakan rutin setiap minggunya melalui kegiatan upacara bendera, pramuka, imtaq, dan kegiatan pembelajaran di dalam kelas yang berdampak pada kedisiplinan dalam mematuhi peraturan sekolah, penggunaan seragam sesuai peraturan, serta kedisiplinan dalam menjaga kelas agar nyaman dan kondusif. Keberhasilan program GENDIS didasari oleh adanya kontrol langsung dari kepala sekolah, peran aktif para guru, dan kesadaran peserta didik. Faktor keluarga dan keadaan menjadi faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan program GENDIS di SDN Florida. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa program GENDIS dapat membina karakter disiplin para peserta didik melalui kegiatan yang dilakukan secara terus menerus sehingga menjadi suatu pembiasaan, meskipun masih terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu dilakukan penanganan lebih lanjut. This study aims to determine the development of students' discipline character through the GENDIS program at SDN Florida, Cilegon City. The duties and responsibilities of educational institutions are very important in helping to grow character in students. Not only in the academic field, but schools also have an important role in fostering students' affective attitudes, one of which is a disciplined attitude which will certainly be useful for their lives in the future. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection in this study uses observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire techniques as additional instruments. The data analysis technique in this study uses the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion. The research subjects consisted of school principals, teachers of grades IV and V, as well as students of grades IV and V of SDN Florida Cilegon City. The results of this study show that the process of implementing the GENDIS program is carried out routinely every week through flag ceremony, scouting, imtaq, and learning activities in the classroom which has an impact on discipline in complying with school regulations, the use of uniforms according to regulations, and discipline in keeping the classroom comfortable and conducive. The success of the GENDIS program is based on direct control from the principal, the active role of teachers, and student awareness. Family factors and circumstances are inhibiting factors in the implementation of the GENDIS program at SDN Florida. The conclusion of this study is that the GENDIS program can foster the discipline character of students through activities that are carried out continuously so that it becomes a habit, although there are still several aspects that need to be further handled.
