    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter pada film animasi Upin Ipin sebagai media pembelajaran IPAS dalam membentuk sikap toleransi siswa kelas IV. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan data diperoleh melalui analisis isi terhadap film animasi Upin Ipin episode Layar Tancap Kampung Durian Runtuh, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta angket sebagai data pendukung dalam penelitian ini untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa mengenai sikap toleransi sebelum dan sesudah menonton film. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film animasi Upin Ipin mengandung berbagai nilai karakter, khususnya sikap toleransi yang tercermin dalam interaksi antar tokoh dari latar budaya yang beragam. Nilai-nilai tersebut meliputi menghargai perbedaan 1, keterbukaan dan empati 2, solidaritas 3, keadilan 1, kesabaran 2, serta kerendahan hati 1. Penggunaan film animasi sebagai media pembelajaran IPAS terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap sikap toleransi hal ini tercermin dari hasil angket serta wawancara mendalam yang dilakukan peneliti kepada 5 orang siswa. Dimana siswa menunjukkan respon positif, lebih antusias dalam belajar, dan mampu mengaitkan pesan moral dari film ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa film animasi dapat menjadi alternative media pembelajaran yang menarik dan kontekstual dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada guru untuk memanfaatkan film animasi Upin Ipin dalam pembelajaran IPAS serta mengembangkan metode diskusi reflektif setelah pemutaran film agar siswa lebih memahami dan menerapkan sikap toleransi secara nyata. This research aims to analyse the character values in the animated film Upin Ipin as a science learning medium in forming an attitude of tolerance in class IV students. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. With data obtained through content analysis of the animated film Upin Ipin episode Layar Tancap Kampung Durian Runtuh, interviews with teachers and students, as well as questionnaires as supporting data in this research to meaksure students understanding of attitudes of tolerance before and after watching the film. The research results show that the animated film Upin Ipin contains various character values, especialy the attitude of tolerance which is reflected in the interactions between characters from divers cultural backrounds. These values include respect for differences 1, openness and emphaty 2, solidarity 3, justice 1, patience 2, and humanity 1. The use of animated films as a social science learning medium has proven to be effective in increasing students understanding of tolerance, this is reflected in the results of questionnaires and in-depth interviews conducted by researchers with 5 students. Where students show a positive response, are more enthusiastic in learning, and are able to relate the moral messege from the film to everyday life. The implications of this research show that animated films can be an interesting and contextual alternative learning media in instilling character values. Therefore, it is recommended for teachers to utilize the animated film Upin Ipin in learning science and develop a reflective discussion method after showing the film so that students can better understand and apply an attitude of tolerance in a real way.
