Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain didaktis project based learning (PjBL) bermuatan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) pada topik bioetanol dari sampah kulit buah beserta perangkatnya yang tervalidasi untuk mengembangkan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Mixed Method, dengan partisipan 35 peserta didik di salah satu SMA Negeri di Waringin Kurung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah open ended question, format perumusan tujuan pembelajaran, lembar validasi ahli, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD), rekaman audio-video, dan soal tes literasi sains. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tes sebelum desain didaktis dibuat, peserta didik mengalami beberapa hambatan belajar yang dapat digolongkan kedalam epistemological obstacle. Data kualitatif didapat selama implementasi desain didaktik menunjukkan desain didaktik membutuhkan modifikasi situasi didaktis baru dan antisipasi yang tepat sehingga berdampak pada pemahaman yang lebih baik lagi pada beberapa topik seperti (1) menuliskan persamaan kimia (2) menerapkan stoikiometri dalam konteks bioetanol dari sampah kulit buah, (3) mengidentifikasi variabel berdasarkan proyek yang dilaksanakan, (4) implementasi tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan pada konteks bioetanol. Sedangkan data kuantitatif didapat setelah dilakukan analisis terhadap hasil tes literasi sains, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi secara keseluruhan. Namun, dari 35 peserta didik, yang diberikan soal literasi sains diperoleh hanya 54% peserta didik yang skornya berada di atas KKM, sehingga desain didaktis perlu dikembangkan lagi agar lebih efektif untuk di terapkan di kelas.
This study aims to produce a didactic design of project based learning (PjBL) containing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) on the topic of bioethanol from fruit peel waste and its validated equipment to develop the scientific literacy of grade X students. The research method used is Mixed Method, with 35 participants in one of the State Senior High Schools in Waringin Kurung. The instruments used in this study were open-ended questions, learning objective formulation formats, expert validation sheets, Student Worksheets (LKPD), audio-video recordings, and scientific literacy test questions. Based on the results of the test data analysis before the didactic design was made, students experienced several learning obstacles that can be classified as epistemological obstacles. Qualitative data obtained during the implementation of the didactic design showed that the didactic design required modification of new didactic situations and proper anticipation so that it would have an impact on better understanding of several topics such as (1) writing chemical equations (2) applying stoichiometry in the context of bioethanol from fruit peel waste, (3) identifying variables based on the project being implemented, (4) implementing sustainable development goals in the context of bioethanol. Meanwhile, quantitative data was obtained after analyzing the result of the science literacy test, it was found that the students’ science literacy skills were in the high category iverall with an average score of 69. However, out of 35 students, who were given science literacy question, only 54% of students scored above the KKM, so the didactic design needs to be developed further to be more effective for implementation in class.
