Abstract
Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Android BELIS untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menulis Kalimat Tunggal pada Siswa Tunarungu Kelas 3 dan 4 di SLB Negeri Bekasi Jaya Oleh: Sari Handayani NIM. 2105516 ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis android bagi siswa tunarungu dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat tunggal di SLB Negeri Bekasi Jaya Kota Bekasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah enam anak tunarungu yang mengalami hambatan dalam menulis kalimat tunggal subyek-predikat (S+P). Penghambatnya adalah karena subyek kesulitan mengingat tulisan predikat yang sesuai dengan gambar, bahasa ujaran, atau isyarat; memahami kata kerja, dan menulis kalimat tunggal dengan menggunakan huruf kapital dan tanda titik yang benar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Exploratory Sequential Mixed Methode Design yang menyajikan tiga fase penelitian. Fase pertama eksploratori data kualitatif untuk mengetahui profil siswa tunarungu dalam menulis kalimat tunggal dan profil media yang digunakan guru. Pada fase kedua, peneliti mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis android sesuai kebutuhan siswa tunarungu melalui tahap validasi oleh para ahli dan praktisi. Pada fase ketiga, peneliti menguji efektivitas hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis android terhadap kemampuan siswa tunarungu dalam menulis kalimat tunggal. Hasil pengujian efektivitas menggunakan uji Wilcoxon H₀ ditolak. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan menulis kalimat tunggal melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis android BELIS. Peningkatannya dalam hal kemampuan menulis kalimat tunggal dengan pola S+P; kesesuaian kalimat dengan gambar/gif, pengucapan, atau isyarat; penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda titik yang benar pada siswa tunarungu. Dengan demikian berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan kepada guru dalam pembelajaran menulis kalimat tunggal pada siswa tunarungu kelas 3 dan 4 dapat menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis android BELIS. Kata Kunci : media pembelajaran berbasis android BELIS, menulis kalimat tunggal, siswa tunarungu Development of Android-Based Learning Media BELIS to Improve the Ability to Write Single Sentences in Deaf Students in Grades 3 and 4 at SLB Negeri Bekasi Jaya By: Sari Handayani NIM. 2105516 ABSTRACT This study aims to develop android-based learning media for deaf students in improving their ability to write single sentences at SLB Negeri Bekasi Jaya, Bekasi City. The subjects in this study were six deaf children who experienced difficulties in writing single subject-predicate (S+P) sentences. The obstacles were because the subjects had difficulty remembering the predicate writing that matched the picture, spoken language, or signs; understanding verbs, and writing single sentences using correct capital letters and periods. The research method used was Exploratory Sequential Mixed Method Design which presented three research phases. The first phase was qualitative data exploration to determine the profile of deaf students in writing single sentences and the profile of the media used by teachers. In the second phase, researchers developed android-based learning media according to the needs of deaf students through a validation stage by experts and practitioners. In the third phase, researchers tested the effectiveness of the results of the development of android-based learning media on the ability of deaf students to write single sentences. The results of the effectiveness test using the Wilcoxon Ho test were rejected. It was concluded that there was an increase in the ability to write single sentences through the use of BELIS android-based learning media. The improvement in the ability to write single sentences with the S+P pattern; the suitability of sentences with images/gifs, pronunciation, or gestures; the use of capital letters and correct periods in deaf students. Thus, based on the results of the study, it is recommended that teachers in learning to write single sentences for deaf students in grades 3 and 4 can use BELIS android-based learning media.
