    Abstract

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan tindak lanjut dari Penggunaan Media YouTube Channel “Dongeng Kita” terhadap Peningkatan Kemampuan Memahami Isi Cerita dengan Pendekatan EMRED pada Siswa Kelas 5 SDN Cilegon 02. Dalam penelitian ini, pendekatan kuantiatif digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh (dengan uji validasi Gregory dan uji analisis data menggunakan SPSS) terkait penggunaan media YouTube channel “Dongeng Kita” dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memahami isi cerita dengan pendekatan EMRED (emmersion, modelling, repetition, exploration, dan demonstration) pada siswa kelas 5 SDN Cilegon 02, serta tindak lanjut penggunaannya (dengan analisis angket respon siswa). Dengan desain quasi experimental bentuk non-equivalent control group design, data dikumpulkan dari 23 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 23 siswa kelompok kontrol. Pengukuran dilakukan melalui tes sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan atau treatment. Untuk uji validasi Gregory, dilakukan penilaian dua ahli terhadap media dan modul yang peneliti gunakan. Untuk uji analisis data menggunakan SPSS, terutama pada uji hipotesisnya yang menggunakan uji Independent Samples T-Test dengan hasil Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari rata-rata dua kelompok yakni kelompok eksperimen (yang menggunakan media YouTube channel “Dongeng Kita” dan pendekatan EMRED) dengan kelompok kontrol (yang menggunakan media dan pendekatan konvensional). Hasil rata-rata respon siswa pada angket ialah 90,98% yang terkategori sangat baik. Media YouTube channel “Dongeng Kita” dengan pendekatan EMRED dapat ditindaklanjuti sebagai salah satu opsi alternatif untuk pembelajaran bahasa yang lebih interaktif dan bermakna bagi siswa. Kata Kunci: YouTube Channel “Dongeng Kita”, Kemampuan Memahami Isi Cerita, Pendekatan EMRED The aim of this research is to determine the influence and follow-up of the use of the YouTube channel "Dongeng Kita" media on increasing the ability to understand story content using the EMRED approach in Grade 5 students at SDN Cilegon 02. In this research, a quantitative approach was used to determine the effect (with Gregory’s validation test and data analysis test using SPSS) regarding the use of the YouTube channel "Dongeng Kita" media in increasing the ability to understand story content using the EMRED approach (emmersion, modelling, repetition, exploration and demonstration) in Grade 5 SDN Cilegon 02, as well as follow-up on its use (with analysis of student response questionnaires). With a quasi-experimental design in the form of non-equivalent control group design, data was collected from 23 students in the experimental group and 23 students in the control group. Measurements are carried out through tests before and after treatment. For the Gregory validation test, two experts assessed the media and modules that the researchers used. To test data analysis using SPSS, especially for hypothesis testing which uses the Independent Samples T-Test with Sig results. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the averages of the two groups, namely the experimental group (which used the YouTube channel "Dongeng Kita" media and the EMRED approach) and the control group (which used conventional media and approaches ). The average student response result on the questionnaire was 90.98% which was categorized as very good. The YouTube media channel "Dongeng Kita" with the EMRED approach can be followed up as an alternative option for language learning that is more interactive and meaningful for students.
