Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya berpikir tingkat tinggi dan efikasi diri siswa yang menghambat kesiapan mereka menghadapi tantangan Abad 21. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model ICARE berbantuan bahan ajar elektronik pemanasan global terhadap berpikir tingkat tinggi dan efikasi diri siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest pada 27 siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri di Bandung yang belum mempelajari pemanasan global. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi bahan ajar elektronik, tes berpikir tingkat tinggi, kuesioner efikasi diri, observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan V-Aiken untuk kelayakan bahan ajar elektronik, N-Gain untuk peningkatan kemampuan siswa dan analisis korelasi rank spearman untuk hubungan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan efikasi diri siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Bahan ajar elektronik memiliki kelayakan tinggi dengan nilai V-Aiken 0,94; (2) berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa meningkat dari 10,22 menjadi 14,11 dengan N-Gain 0,33 (kategori sedang); (3) efikasi diri meningkat dari 42 menjadi 56 dengan N-Gain 0,22 (kategori rendah); (4) berpikir tingkat tinggi dan efikasi diri memiliki koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,192 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat rendah; dan (5) siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap model ICARE berbantuan bahan ajar elektronik yang lebih menarik dan interaktif dibanding pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model ICARE berbantuan bahan ajar elektronik dapat meningkatkan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan efikasi diri siswa. Implikasinya, model ini dapat diterapkan lebih luas dalam pembelajaran fisika berbasis teknologi untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan kontekstual.
This research was motivated by the low level of students' higher-order thinking skills and self-efficacy, which hinder their readiness to face 21st-century challenges. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of implementing the ICARE model assisted by electronic learning materials on global warming on students' higher-order thinking skills and self-efficacy. This study employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 27 tenth-grade students at a public high school in Bandung who had not yet studied global warming. The instruments used included validation sheets for the electronic learning materials, higher-order thinking tests, self-efficacy questionnaires, learning implementation observations, and interviews. Data analysis utilized the V-Aiken formula for the feasibility of electronic learning materials, N-Gain for students’ improvement, and Spearman’s rank correlation analysis for the relationship between higher-order thinking skills and self-efficacy. The results showed that: (1) the electronic learning materials had high feasibility with a V-Aiken value of 0.94; (2) students' higher-order thinking skills increased from 10.22 to 14.11 with an N-Gain of 0.33 (moderate category); (3) self-efficacy increased from 42 to 56 with an N-Gain of 0.22 (low category); (4) higher-order thinking skills and self-efficacy had a correlation coefficient of 0.192, which falls into the very low category; and (5) students responded positively to the ICARE model assisted by electronic learning materials, finding it more engaging and interactive compared to conventional learning. The conclusion of the study indicates that the ICARE model assisted by electronic learning materials can improve students' higher-order thinking skills and self-efficacy. The implication is that this model can be more widely implemented in technology-based physics learning to create a more interactive and contextual learning experience.
