Abstract

Masa perkembangan remaja merupakan masa mencari jati dirinya sekaligus membentuk identitas diri. Akan tetapi, semakin tinggi seorang remaja mencari jati diri dan membentuk identitas dirinya, kemungkinan dapat menyebabkan perilaku narsistik pada remaja. Kecenderungan perilaku narsistik memiliki dua dimensi yang berbeda, yaitu dimensi grandiose narcissism dan vulnerable narcissism. Kedua dimensi narsistik tersebut memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda, sehingga perlu adanya penanganan untuk masing-masing dimensi narsistik. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan yaitu schema-focused therapy. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan proses pemberian layanan konseling kepada remaja dengan kecenderungan narsistik berdasarkan dinamika dan dimensi yang dimiliki oleh remaja kelas XI SMAN 1 Baleendah. Desain penelitian yaitu riset evaluasi. Partisipan penelitian diambil dari studi pendahuluan pada tahun 2023, dengan partisipan yang dijadikan sebagai konseli yang terdiri dari dua siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan perilaku kepada kedua konseli setelah mengikuti enam kali layanan konseling individu dengan metode schema-focused therapy, serta penelitian juga memberikan hasil dengan bentuk evaluasi untuk implementasi ke depannya.

The adolescent development stage is a period of self-discovery and the formation
of self-identity. However, the higher an adolescent seeks identity and forms his or
her identity, it is likely to cause narcissistic behavior in adolescents. The tendency
of narcissistic behavior has two different dimensions, namely the dimensions of
grandiose narcissism and vulnerable narcissism. The two narcissistic dimensions
have different characteristics, so there needs to be treatment for each narcissistic
dimension. One method that can be used is schema-focused therapy. The purpose
of the study is to describe the process of providing counseling services to
adolescents with narcissistic tendencies based on the dynamics and dimensions
possessed by adolescents in class XI of SMAN 1 Baleendah. The research design
is evaluation research. The research participants were taken from a preliminary
study in 2023, with participants who were used as counselees consisting of two
students. The results showed a change in the behavior to the two counselees after
attending six times of individual counseling services with the schema-focused
therapy method, and the research also provides results in the form of evaluation for
future implementation.
