Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar permasalahan yang muncul pada pembelajaran Seni Budaya dan Prakarya di SD Negeri 1 Panumbangan, Ciamis. Rendahnya karakter sosial pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 1 Panumbangan disebabkan oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat sehingga mengakibatkan kurangnya variasi dalam pembelajaran. Faktor lainnya seperti penggunaan internet, bermain video game, menonton tayangan yang kurang mendidik, dan lain sebagainya. Hal tersebut berdampak cukup serius karena kurangnya bersosialisasi dengan orang lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses penumbuhan karakter sosial siswa Sekolah Dasar dengan menggunakan stimulus permainan tradisional oray – orayan dan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 3 siklus. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 200 siswa, dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 16% atau sebanyak 32 siswa dari jumlah populasi yang ada. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pada siklus I karakter sosial siswa yang paling menonjol yaitu karakter tanggung jawab. Pada siklus II karakter sosial siswa yang paling menonjol adalah karakter kerja sama dan komunikatif, sehingga ada perubahan pada dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus III siswa sudah mampu menonjolkan seluruh aspek karakter sosial yang diamati. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran tari anak berbasis permainan tradisional untuk menumbuhkan karakter sosial siswa berhasil dilakukan dalam 3 siklus, yang ditandai dengan perubahan karakter sosial masing – masing siswa pada siklus III. This research was carried out on the basis of problems that arose in the learning of Cultural Arts and Crafts at SD Negeri 1 Panumbangan, Ciamis. The low social character in grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Panumbangan is caused by many factors, one of which is the use of inappropriate learning methods that result in a lack of variety in learning. Other factors such as internet use, playing video games, watching shows that are less educational, and so on. This has a quite serious impact because of the lack of socialization with other people. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of growing the social character of elementary school students by using the stimulus of traditional oray-orayan games and the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. This study uses the classroom action research method (PTK) which is carried out in 3 cycles. The population in this study amounted to 200 students, with a sample taken as much as 16% or as many as 32 students from the total population. Based on the results of the research, in cycle I, the most prominent social character of students is the character of responsibility. In cycle II, the most prominent social character of students is the cooperative and communicative character, so there is a change from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle III, students have been able to highlight all aspects of social character observed.Therefore, children's dance learning based on traditional games to cultivate students' social character was successfully carried out in 3 cycles, which was marked by a change in the social character of each student in cycle III.
