Abstract
ABSTRAK Anak-anak masa kini telah akrab dengan media digital. Anak-anak di perkotaan cenderung memiliki interaksi lebih besar dengan teknologi dibandingkan anak-anak di pedesaan. Oleh karena itu, perlu penelitian lebih dalam untuk memahami literasi digital anak-anak di desa, khususnya daerah perkebunan teh karena memiliki karakteristik yang khusus dan berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami literasi digital anak usia dini di daerah perkebunan teh. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fokus etnografi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu perkebunan teh di Kabupaten Bandung, melibatkan 6 anak usia 5-6 tahun sebagai partisipan. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode grounded theory dengan pendekatan induktif tanpa asumsi awal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian literasi digital di perkebunan teh tidak hanya mencakup kemampuan teknis yang meliputi kemampuan anak dalam mengenal dan menggunakan media digital untuk aktivitas kesehariannya, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada perkembangan anak dalam pengetahuan, logika, kreativitas, dan pemecahan masalah. Adanya kebiasaan bermain dan pola penggunaan handphone berdasarkan norma dan budaya masyarakat disana seperti kesadaran anak dalam mengontrol penggunaan handphone, pengawasan dan pendampingan yang diberikan oleh orangtua membuat makna literasi digital lebih luas karena anak-anak disana memiliki kebiasaan dan masyarakat memiliki persepsi yang sama dalam menggunakan media digital sehingga secara tidak langsung telah mempraktikan literasi digital dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Dini, Literasi Digital, Media Digital ABSTRACT Children today are familiar with digital media. Children in urban areas tend to have greater interaction with technology than children in rural areas. Therefore, more research is needed to understand children's digital literacy in rural areas, especially tea plantation areas because they have special and different characteristics. This study aims to understand early childhood digital literacy in tea plantation areas. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with an ethnographic focus method. The research was conducted in one of the tea plantations in Bandung Regency, involving 6 children aged 5-6 years as participants. Data were analyzed using the grounded theory method with an inductive approach without initial assumptions. Based on the results of the research, digital literacy in tea plantations not only includes technical skills that include children's ability to recognize and use digital media for their daily activities, but also contributes to children's development in knowledge, logic, creativity, and problem solving. The existence of playing habits and patterns of using mobile phones based on the norms and culture of the community there, such as children's awareness in controlling the use of mobile phones, supervision and assistance provided by parents, makes the meaning of digital literacy broader because children there have habits and the community has the same perception in using digital media so that indirectly they have practiced digital literacy.
