Abstract
Salah satu dampak dari hambatan pendengaran adalah rendahnya rasa percaya diri Di SLBN Sukapura, terdapat kegiatan vokasional fashion show. Dua peserta didik yang tergabung dalam tim khusus menunjukkan tingkat kepercayaan diri yang berbeda, terlihat dari perilaku mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi kepercayaan diri peserta didik SMPLB dengan hambatan pendengaran dalam kegiatan vokasional fashion show, mengetahui implementasi yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mereka, serta mengidentifikasi faktor yang memengaruhi kepercayaan diri tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan tingkat kepercayaan diri, ditandai dengan perilaku selama kegiatan fashion show. Kurangnya kepercayaan diri disebabkan oleh rendahnya motivasi pribadi, sedangkan faktor yang mendukung kepercayaan diri meliputi minat pribadi, dukungan guru, serta pengalaman berpartisipasi. Vokasional ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan modeling, tetapi juga berkontribusi signifikan dalam membangun kepercayaan diri peserta didik. Vokasional fashion show di SLBN Sukapura membantu peserta didik meningkatkan kepercayaan diri antara lain aspek keyakinan akan kemampuan diri, optimisme, objektif, tanggung jawab, serta rasional dan realistis, melalui serangkaian kegiatan asesmen, partisipasi dalam acara di sekolah maupun luar sekolah, serta dukungan dan bimbingan dari para guru. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya kegiatan vokasional dalam mendukung pengembangan kepercayaan diri peserta didik dengan hambatan pendengaran. Students have different levels of self-confidence, as shown by their behavior. At SLBN Sukapura, there is a fashion show vocational. Two students are part of a special team showing different levels of self-confidence, as seen in their behavior. This difference in self-confidence is influenced by many factors for each student. This research aims to understand the self-confidence levels of students in special needs junior high school students with hearing impairments during vocational fashion show activities, identify the implementation that can help improve their self-confidence, and identify the factors influencing their confidence. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The results show differences in self-confidence levels, marked by behavior during the fashion show activity. A lack of confidence is caused by low personal motivation, while the factors supporting confidence include personal interest, teacher support, and participation experience. This vocational not only improves modeling skills but also contributes to build students' confidence. The vocational fashion show at SLBN Sukapura helps students enhance their confidence in areas self-confidence, optimism, objectivity, responsibility, and being rational and realistic, through an assessments, participation in many events, also support and guidance from teachers. The implication of this study is the importance of vocational activities in supporting the development of self-confidence for students with hearing impairments.
