Abstract

Cerita rakyat kini mulai tergantikan oleh kisah-kisah fiksi dari luar negeri yang mudah difahami dan memiliki daya tarik tersendiri. Ditambah lagi dengan perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat, dapat mengikis atau mengilangkan sebuah mahakarya para leluhur. Hal tersebutlah yang mendorong penulis untuk menciptakan cerita dengan mengangkat cerita rakyat Majalengka ke dalam bentuk media komik, karena komik memiliki pendekatan yang baik untuk masyarakat, khususnya anak-anak dan remaja. Rumusan masalah dalam skripsi ini yaitu bagaimanakah deskripsi unsur-unsur komik, ilustrasi, dan konsep pewarnaannya. Metode dalam penciptaan ini, melalui proses ide berkarya, menganalisa kebutuhan, stimulasi, pengolahan ide, persiapan alat dan bahan, setelah itu barulah ke proses pembuatan komik. Penulis menggunakan teknik digital dalam pembuatannya, tahap-tahap tersebut yaitu membuat sinopsis, storyline, storyboard, karakter tokoh verbal, mendesain karakter tokoh, visualisasi komik, pencetakan dan penjilidan. Unsur komik membahas isi cerita yang bertemakan cerita rakyat sebagai latar belakang kemudian disambung dengan cerita baru yang dikarang oleh penulis sendiri. Ilustrasi menggunakan gaya manga, panel dan macam-macam bentuk dan peralihannya, balon kata dengan berbagai jenisnya, efek suara yang dibuat menyerupai/mewakili sumber suaranya, dan garis gerak dalam komik yang dibuatuntuk memberikan efek gerak. Sedangkan untuk pewarnaan penulis menganalisis berdasarkan pencahayaan. Komik Legenda Pohon Maja yang begitu singkat ini akan susah menangkap sifat yang ada dalam diri setiap tokohnya, oleh karena itu penulis memberi warna pada setiap karakter sebagai simbol, Komik yang baik tidak hanya memiliki cerita yang menarik, namun harus ditunjang dengan teknik yang bagus agar menciptakan komik yang berkualitas. Dengan adanya komik Legenda Pohon Maja, diharapkan dapat menjadi media alternatif dalam menyampaikan cerita rakyat Majalengka dan menjadi upaya untuk pelestarian tradisi budaya lokal. Folklore is now being replaced by fictional stories from abroad easily understood and has its own charm. Coupled with the rapid technological developments, can erode or mengilangkan a masterpiece of the ancestors. This is exactly what encourages writers to create stories with lift Majalengka folklore in the form of comics media, because the comic has a good approach to the community, especially children and adolescents. The problem of this thesis is how the description of the elements of comics, illustration, and coloring concept. The method in this creation, the idea of working through the process, analyzing needs, stimulation, processing of ideas, tools and material preparation, only then to the process of making comics. The author uses digital techniques in the making, the stages that make synopsis, storyline, storyboard, character verbal character, the character design, comic visualization, printing and binding. Discuss the contents of the comic elements of the story as folklore-themed background and then connected with a new story that is written by the author himself. Illustration using the manga style, panels and various forms and its transition, word balloons with various kinds, sound effects that resemble / represent the sound source, and the line of march in the comic dibuatuntuk motion effect. As for the coloring authors analyzed based lighting. Comic legend Maja Trees are so short this will be hard to capture the nature that exists within each of the characters, therefore the author gives color to each character as a symbol, not only a good comic has an interesting story, but it must be supported with a good technique to create comic quality. With the comic legend Trees Maja, is expected to be an alternative media to convey folklore Majalengka and be efforts for the preservation of local cultural traditions.
