Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi profil dan tingkat literasi kelautan pengunjung Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Tanjung Lesung, Pandeglang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling, di mana semua responden dipilih secara acak tanpa memperhatikan kategori tertentu. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner atau survei. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif, penelitian ini menganalisis pengetahuan, psikomotor dan sikap terkait lautan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas pengunjung, didominasi oleh kelompok usia 12–30 tahun, berjenis kelamin laki-laki, dan berstatus pelajar atau mahasiswa dengan tingkat literasi kelautan dalam kategori cukup. Tujuh prinsip literasi kelautan pengunjung sebagian besar memiliki pemahaman yang cukup baik dengan respon tertinggi sebesar 79% dan 64%. Aspek kognitif, sebagian besar pengunjung memiliki pemahaman dasar tentang fungsi dan prinsip kelautan, dengan distribusi tingkat literasi 34% cukup, 30% kurang, 19% baik, dan 17% sangat baik. Aspek psikomotor, kemampuan berkomunikasi pengunjung dan berpartisipasi dalam aktivitas kelautan dengan skor rata-rata 87,40%, kategori sangat baik. Aspek Apektif, sebagian besar responden menunjukkan kesadaran tinggi terhadap pentingnya kelestarian laut, dengan 87% kategori sangat baik. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya penguatan literasi kelautan melalui pendidikan dan program kesadaran masyarakat untuk mendukung pengelolaan sumber daya pesisir yang berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi penelitian ini meliputi pengembangan program pendidikan kelautan berbasis partisipasi masyarakat guna memperkuat pengelolaan lingkungan laut dan mendukung keberlanjutan KEK Tanjung Lesung sebagai destinasi wisata strategis. The sampling technique used was random sampling, where all respondents were selected randomly without considering specific categories. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires or surveys. This quantitative research employed a descriptive analysis method, analyzing visitors' knowledge, psychomotor skills, and attitudes related to the ocean. The results revealed that the majority of visitors were aged 12–30 years, predominantly male, and mostly students or university students, with an ocean literacy level categorized as moderate. Visitors demonstrated a relatively good understanding of the seven principles of ocean literacy, with the highest responses recorded at 79% and 64%. In terms of cognitive aspects, most visitors had basic knowledge about the functions and principles of the ocean, with the literacy level distribution as follows: 34% moderate, 30% low, 19% good, and 17% very good. In the psychomotor aspect, visitors showed excellent communication skills and participation in marine activities, achieving an average score of 87.40%, categorized as very good. For the affective aspect, most respondents demonstrated a high awareness of the importance of ocean conservation, with 87% falling into the very good category. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening ocean literacy through education and community awareness programs to support sustainable coastal resource management. The study recommends developing community-based marine education programs to enhance marine environmental management and support the sustainability of Tanjung Lesung SEZ as a strategic tourism destination.
