Abstract
Sikap sosial siswa merupakan faktor penting dalam pembentukan karakter yang berdampak pada perilaku mereka di lingkungan sekolah dan masyarakat. Sikap sosial meliputi hal-hal seperti disiplin, jujur, tanggung jawab, peduli, sopan santun dan percaya diri menurut Peraturan Meteri Pendidikan Nomor 64 tahun 2013. Kenyataan dilapangan masih sering terjadi aktifitas yang termasuk dalam aksi vandalisme yang mana seperti mencorat-coret fasilitas sekolah. Maka dari itu, guru menerapkan model pembelajaran Self Directed Learning dalam mengembangkan sikap sosial upaya pencegahan vandalisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi serta implikasi model pembelajaran Self Directed Learning dalam mengembangkan sikap sosial siswa sebagai upaya pencegahan vandalisme. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis data deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan 21 siswa pada kelas 5A. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Negeri Jurumudi 3, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket/kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Self Directed Learning dapat mengembangkan kesadaran sosial siswa terhadap pentingnya menjaga fasilitas sekolah dan mengurangi perilaku vandalisme melalui pembelajaran yang aktif dan kreatif. Hasil akhir rekapitulasi terbukti dengan 96% responden menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model Self Directed Learning efektif dalam membangun sikap sosial yang baik di kalangan siswa, sehingga dapat dijadikan alternatif metode pembelajaran di sekolah. Students' social attitudes are an important factor in character building that impacts their behavior in the school and community environment. Social attitudes include things such as discipline, honesty, responsibility, caring, courtesy and self-confidence. The reality in the field is that there are still frequent activities that are included in acts of vandalism, such as scribbling on school facilities. Vandalism is a social problem that must be addressed or corrected so that it is not sustainable. Therefore, teachers apply the Self Directed Learning model in developing social attitudes to prevent vandalism. This study aims to analyze the implementation and implications of the Self Directed Learning model in developing students' social attitudes as an effort to prevent vandalism. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive data analysis, this research involved 21 students in class 5A. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Jurumudi 3, with data collection through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results showed that the application of the Self Directed Learning model can develop students' social awareness of the importance of maintaining school facilities and reduce vandalism behavior. The final result of the recapitulation is evident with 96% of respondents showing good understanding. Students learn to take responsibility for their actions and interact more positively with the surrounding environment. This study concludes that the Self Directed Learning model is effective in building good social attitudes among students, so it can be used as an alternative learning method in schools.
