Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di sekolah dasar melalui penerapan metode role playing. Penelitian ini juga ingin mengidentifikasi dampak penerapan metode tersebut terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di SDN Serang 11. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi penerapan metode role playing dan evaluasi hasil belajar siswa pada dua siklus. Siklus I dan II dianalisis untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas metode yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus I menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 3 dengan persentase 30%, berada dalam kategori "cukup". Setelah perbaikan, siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan menjadi rata-rata 4,5 dan persentase 80% dalam kategori "baik". Rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat dari 72,5 pada siklus I (persentase ketuntasan 58%) menjadi 80,5 pada siklus II (persentase ketuntasan 82,5%), menunjukkan metode role playing dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan metode pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila yang lebih interaktif dan efektif, serta menyoroti pentingnya keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih baik. Penerapan metode role playing terbukti dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan karakter siswa, yang sangat penting dalam konteks pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini. This study aims to improve students' understanding in Civic Education learning at the elementary school level through the implementation of the role-playing method. This study also seeks to identify the impact of the implementation of this method on students' learning outcomes. The research uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted at SD Negeri Serang 11. Data were collected through the observation of the role-playing method implementation and the evaluation of students' learning outcomes over two cycles. Cycle I and II were analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of the applied method. The results of the study show that in Cycle I, the average score was 3 with a 30% percentage, categorized as "satisfactory." After improvements, Cycle II showed an increase to an average score of 4.5 with an 80% percentage, categorized as "good." The average learning outcomes of the students also improved from 72.5 in Cycle I (with a 58% completion percentage) to 80.5 in Cycle II (with an 82.5% completion percentage), indicating that the role-playing method effectively improved students' understanding. This research contributes to the development of a more interactive and effective Civic Education teaching method and highlights the importance of student engagement in the learning process to achieve better results. The implementation of the role-playing method has proven to enhance both students' understanding and character, which is crucial in the current educational context in Indonesia.
