Abstract
Pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya Goals 6 akses terhadap air bersih dan sanitasi, masih menghadapi tantangan besar akibat rendahnya kesadaran dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam menangani isu lingkungan. Pendidikan untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan (Education for Sustainable Development/ESD) dan pembelajaran outdoor dapat menjadi solusi dengan memberikan pengalaman langsung, mendorong berpikir kreatif, serta meningkatkan kesadaran berkelanjutan siswa. Namun, implementasi ESD di jenjang pendidikan dasar masih belum optimal, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan inovatif untuk membentuk generasi muda yang peduli dan bertanggung jawab terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembelajaran outdoor berbasis ESD dalam meningkatkan creative thinking skills dan sustainable consciousness siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental design dengan desain single group designs (one group pretest-posttest design). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 78 siswa kelas V sekolah dasar yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menggali data adalah soal tes berpikir kreatif dan angket kesadaran berkelanjutan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji beda dan uji prasyaratnya, ngain, serta deskriptif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran outdoor berbasis ESD berdampak terhadap peningkatan yang signifikan pada creative thinking skills siswa meskipun aspek flexibility masih dalam kategori rendah dan peningkatan yang signifikan pada sustainable consciousness siswa meskipun aspek pengetahuan masih dalam kategori sedang. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah pembelajaran outdoor berbasis ESD di sekolah dasar dapat menjadi pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan creative thinking skills dan sustainable consciousness siswa, sehingga mendukung upaya pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs) khususnya Goals 6. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6 on access to clean water and sanitation, still faces significant challenges due to the low awareness and creative thinking skills of students in addressing environmental issues. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and outdoor learning can serve as solutions by providing direct experiences, encouraging creative thinking, and enhancing students' sustainable consciousness. However, the implementation of ESD at the primary education level remains suboptimal, necessitating innovative approaches to shape young generations who are concerned and responsible for environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze outdoor learning based on ESD in improving the creative thinking skills and sustainable consciousness of elementary school students. The research employed a pre-experimental design with a single group design (one group pretest-posttest design). The study sample consisted of 78 fifth-grade elementary school students selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used to collect data included creative thinking tests and sustainable consciousness questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using difference tests, prerequisite tests, N-gain, and descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that outdoor learning based on ESD significantly improved students' creative thinking skills, although the flexibility aspect remained in the low category, and significantly enhanced students' sustainable consciousness, though the knowledge aspect was still in the moderate category. The implication of these findings is that outdoor learning based on ESD in elementary schools can be an effective approach to enhancing students' creative thinking skills and sustainable consciousness, thereby supporting efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6.
