    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh determinasi diri dan organizational virtuousness terhadap work engagement karyawan generasi milenial di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability dengan teknik convenience sampling. Diperoleh sampel sebanyak 393 responden dengan karakteristik karyawan generasi milenial di Kota Bandung usia 24-42 tahun yang sudah bekerja minimal 1 tahun di perusahaan saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga instrumen yang terdiri dari Work related-Basic Need Satisfaction Scale (W-BNS) yang diadaptasi oleh Jamilie dan Mardiawan (2021) dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.847. Selanjutnya instrumen Organizational Virtuousness Scale yang diadaptasi oleh Sagita (2023) dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.880. Instrumen Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) yang diadaptasi oleh Kristiana dan Purwono (2019) yang memiliki nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.874. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana dan berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa determinasi diri dan organizational virtuousness berpengaruh positif terhadap work engagement dengan persentase sebesar 69.9%.

    This study aims to determine the influence of self-determination and organizational virtuousness on work engagement of millennials employees in Bandung. This study uses quantitative methods with a correlational design. The sampling method used is non-probability with convenience sampling technique. Sample in this study are 393 respondents that obtained with characteristics of millennials employees in Bandung aged 24-42 years who have worked for at least 1 year at the current company. This study uses three instruments consisting of the Work related-Basic Need Satisfaction Scale (W-BNS) adapted by Jamilie and Mardiawan (2021) with a reliability value of 0.847. Furthermore, the Organizational Virtuousness Scale instrument adapted by Sagita (2023) with a reliability 0.880. The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) adapted by Kristiana and Purwono (2019) which has a reliability value of 0.874. The data analysis technique used is simple and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that self-determination and organizational virtuousness have a positive effect on work engagement with a percentage of 69.9%
