Abstract

Pertumbuhan konten dan karya digital di era modern menghadirkan tantangan dan masalah baru dari segi perlindungan kepemilikan hak cipta dan pengelolaan transaksi karya yang kurang transparan. Beberapa kasus yang banyak ditemukan adalah karya digital yang disebarluaskan tanpa izin pemilik, karya digunakan untuk keperluan komersil tanpa memberikan royalti kepada pemilik karya, dan kepemilikan karya yang diklaim oleh pihak lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah aplikasi perlindungan karya digital dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Blockchain yang dinilai dapat menjadi solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Blockchain dipilih karena karakteristik terdesentralisasinya yang dapat melindungi data kepemilikan serta memungkinkan semua pihak untuk mengakses data tersebut, yang membuat pengelolaan transaksi karya digital menjadi lebih transparan. Fitur perlindungan diberikan Blockchain, karena sifat immutable yang berarti seluruh data yang tersimpan dalam lingkungan Blockchain tidak dapat diubah ataupun dihapus. Teknologi Blockchain kemudian dikombinasikan dengan metode encoding Base64 shuffle sebagai metode yang digunakan untuk mengamankan file karya digital yang terdaftar. Encoding base64 dilakukan terhadap file karya yang diunggah oleh pengguna sebelum file disimpan pada server, kemudian hasil encode base64 akan melalui proses shuffling. Rancangan Blockchain berjalan diatas platform aplikasi Ganache untuk mensimulasikan lingkungan Blockchain secara lokal serta aplikasi ekstensi browser Metamask sebagai aplikasi manajemen akun crypto wallet. Aplikasi kemudian melalui total 32 poin pengujian dan dapat dinyatakan bahwa aplikasi berhasil bekerja sesuai dengan rancangan ---------- The growth of digital content and works in the modern era presents new challenges and issues in terms of copyright protection and the lack of transparency in the management of work transactions. Commonly encountered cases include digital works being distributed without the owner's permission, works being used for commercial purposes without providing royalties to the owner, and ownership of works being claimed by other parties. This research aims to develop a digital work protection application by utilizing Blockchain technology, which is considered a solution to these problems. Blockchain is a decentralized network that does not require a central database, enabling all parties to access stored data. This makes the management of digital work transactions more transparent. Furthermore, Blockchain has an immutable nature, meaning that all data stored within the Blockchain environment cannot be altered or deleted. Blockchain technology is then combined with the Base64 shuffle encoding method, which is used to secure the files of registered digital works. Base64 encoding is applied to the work files uploaded by users before the files are stored on the server. This aims to protect the works from theft by ensuring that thieves cannot obtain the works in their original form. Since Base64 decoding programs are widely available on the internet, the Base64-encoded output will undergo a shuffling process to scramble the encoded strings, making them indecipherable using the commonly available decoding programs.
