Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya sebuah kebutuhan media pembelajaran bagi peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar yang dapat melatih keterampilan critical thinking dan literasi sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan prodyk media web based learning tumbuhan sumber kehidupan dibumi yang valid dan teruji dalam melatih keterampilan critical thinking dan literasi sains. Metode yang digunakan adalan design and development (DnD) yang mencakup tiga tahapan yaitu: design, development dan using and maintenance. Subjek penelitian yang dilaukan terdiri dari 31 peserta didik kelas IV SD pada salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan menggunkan waawancaraa, dokumentasi, soal test dan kuesioner. Kegiatan pengembangan produk web based learning konsep tumbuhan sumber kehidupan di bumi memiliki karakteristik:a) berpijak pada teori kontruktivisme, b) media web based learning menggunakan tahapan media dan pendekatan PBL (Problem based learning), c) media dirancang untuk mendukung pembelajaran IPAS yang bersifat student center dan pembelajaran yang bermakna, d) berorientasikan kepada pada critical thinking dan literasi sains, e) terdiri dari lima tahapan berbasis PBL, f) menggunakan bantuan praktikum maya dan eksperimen yang dilakukan peserta didik, g) memanfaatkan fenomena yang sering terjadi pada kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai pembelajaran. hasil validator ahli memberikan kategori sangat tinggi sehingga dapat di artikan layak untuk di implementasikan dan digunakan oleh peserta didik. hasil uji coba media web based learning menunjukkan efektifitas yang sedang dalam meningkatkan keterampilan critical thinking dan literasi sains. Keberterimaan media web based learning menunjukkan hasil skor rata-rata bernilai 87,3 yang di interpretasika kepada tiga aspek yaitu adjective rating “excellent”, grade scale “B” dan acceptability rangers “acceptable”. Dengan rata-rata penilaian interval pada SUS dikategorikan layak untuk proses pembelajaran. Disimpulkan bahwa dari sisi usability dapat diterima denngan memiliki kualitas yang baik terhadap media web based learning: -------- This research is motivated by the need for learning media for grade IV elementary school students who can train critical thinking skills and science literacy. This research aims to produce a valid and tested web-based learning media product for plants as the source of life in the earth in training critical thinking skills and science literacy. The method used is design and development (DnD) which includes three stages: design, development and using and maintenance. The research subjects consisted of 31 fourth grade students at one of the schools in Bandung Regency. The instruments used were interview, documentation, test questions and questionnaires. Web-based learning product development activities on the concept of plants as a source of life on earth have characteristics: a) based on the theory of constructivism, b) web-based learning media using media stages and PBL (Problem based learning) approaches, c) media designed to support IPAS learning which is student-centered and meaningful learning, d) oriented towards critical thinking and science literacy, e) consists of five PBL-based stages, f) using the help of virtual practicum and experiments conducted by students, g) utilising phenomena that often occur in everyday life as learning. The results of expert validators provide a very high category so that it can be interpreted as feasible to be implemented and used by students. the results of web-based learning media trials show moderate effectiveness in improving critical thinking skills and science literacy. The acceptability of web-based learning media shows an average score of 87.3 which is interpreted in three aspects, namely adjective rating ‘excellent’, grade scale ‘B’ and acceptability rangers ‘acceptable’. With the average assessment interval on SUS categorised as feasible for the learning process. It is concluded that in terms of usability, it is acceptable to have good quality for web-based learning media.
