Abstract

Prevalensi Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) di Indonesia meningkat secara signifikan, menimbulkan tantangan bagi perkembangan anak dan kesejahteraan orang tua. Orang tua anak ASD usia 4-6 tahun sering kesulitan memahami karakteristik autisme, mengelola perilaku anak, serta mengatasi kecemasan dan stres pengasuhan. Dukungan sosial yang efektif sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup keluarga dan perkembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan dukungan sosial bagi orang tua anak ASD di Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) dan mengembangkan layanan dukungan sosial berdasarkan analisis tersebut. Metode Design Based Research (DBR) digunakan, meliputi tiga tahap: penelitian awal melalui wawancara dan studi literatur untuk menganalisis kebutuhan, pengembangan layanan silabus dengan enam sesi yang mencakup pemahaman ASD, teknik pengelolaan perilaku, manajemen kecemasan, pembagian peran keluarga, dan kolaborasi antar orang tua, serta evaluasi melalui validasi ahli materi. Hasil analisis kebutuhan menemukan lima kebutuhan orang tua, yaitu: pemahaman mendalam tentang ASD, teknik pengelolaan perilaku anak, manajemen kecemasan, pembagian peran dalam keluarga, dan kolaborasi antar orang tua. Layanan yang dirancang menggunakan pendekatan kolaboratif dan interaktif, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman, keterampilan, serta keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendukung perkembangan optimal anak dengan ASD. Validasi menunjukkan hasil kategori valid, namun memerlukan penyempurnaan lanjutan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting terhadap pengembangan layanan dukungan sosial yang terstruktur di PAUD sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas hidup keluarga dan anak dengan autisme. The prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Indonesia is increasing significantly, posing challenges to child development and parental well-being. Parents of ASD children aged 4-6 years often struggle to understand the characteristics of autism, manage their child's behavior, and cope with parenting anxiety and stress. Effective social support is essential to improve the quality of family life and child development. This study aims to analyze the social support needs of parents of ASD children in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and develop a social support service based on the analysis. The Design Based Research (DBR) method was used, including three stages: initial research through interviews and literature studies to analyze needs, development of a syllabus service with six sessions covering understanding ASD, behavior management techniques, anxiety management, family role sharing, and collaboration between parents, and evaluation through material expert validation. The results of the needs analysis found five needs of parents: in-depth understanding of ASD, child behavior management techniques, anxiety management, division of roles in the family, and collaboration between parents. The service guide, designed using a collaborative and interactive approach, is expected to improve parents' understanding, skills and involvement in supporting the optimal development of children with ASD. Validation of the guide showed valid category results, but requires further refinement. This research makes an important contribution to the development of structured social support services in ECD as an effort to improve the quality of life of families and children with autism.
