Abstract

Budaya sekolah memiliki peranan penting untuk menjadikan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, namun masih terdapat permasalahan antara budaya yang seharusnya dengan realita saat ini berdasarkan pada rapor pendidikan dan kondisi lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi kepribadian kepala sekolah, etos kerja, motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru dan dampaknya terhadap budaya sekolah. Untuk variabelnya terdiri atas variabel bebas yaitu: kompetensi kepribadian kepala sekolah (X1), etos kerja (X2) dan motivasi kerja (X3), satu variabel intervening yaitu kinerja guru (Y) dan satu variabel terikat yaitu budaya sekolah (Z). Populasi penelitian adalah guru SD Negeri di Kabupaten Sumedang, dengan sampel berjumlah 258 orang guru menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional dan teknik analisis data menggunakan SEM PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square. Hasil menunjukkan setiap variabel bebas berpengaruh langsung terhadap variabel intervening. Adanya pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung setiap variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Pengaruh simultan antara kompetensi kepribadian kepala sekolah, etos kerja dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 0,651 (sedang). Pengaruh simultan kompetensi kepribadian kepala sekolah, etos kerja, motivasi kerja dan kinerja guru terhadap budaya sekolah sebesar 0,369 (sedang). Meningkatkan kinerja guru diperlukan unsur intrinsik dari guru itu sendiri dengan membangun etos kerja dan motivasi kerja guru. Perlunya sinergi antara kompetensi kepribadian kepala sekolah, etos kerja, motivasi kerja dan kinerja guru agar berdampak pada budaya sekolah. Membangun budaya sekolah diperlukan hubungan baik dari elemen yang ada di sekolah. ---- School culture plays an important role in creating a conducive learning environment, but there are still problems between the culture that should be and the current reality based on the education report card and environmental conditions. This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's personality competence, work ethic, work motivation on teacher performance and its impact on school culture. The variables consist of independent variables, namely: the principal's personality competence (X1), work ethic (X2) and work motivation (X3), one intervening variable, namely teacher performance (Y) and one dependent variable, namely school culture (Z). The population of the study was elementary school teachers in Sumedang Regency, with a sample of 258 teachers using proportionate stratified random sampling. Through a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method and data analysis techniques using SEMPLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square. The results show that each independent variable has a direct effect on the intervening variable. There is a direct and indirect effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The simultaneous effect between the principal's personality competency, work ethic and work motivation on teacher performance is 0.651 (moderate). The simultaneous effect of the principal's personality competence, work ethic, work motivation and teacher performance on school culture is 0.369 (moderate). Improving teacher performance requires intrinsic elements from the teacher himself by building the teacher's work ethic and work motivation. There is a need for synergy between the principal's personality competency, work ethic, work motivation and teacher performance in order to have an impact on school culture. Building a school culture requires good relations from the elements in the school.
