Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait pengaruh model project citizen terhadap civic skills dan civic disposition peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PKn di sekokah dasar. Kompetensi civic skills dan civic disposition menjadi kompetensi esensial dari civic education dalam Masyarakat demokratis yang meliputi keterampilan intelektual dan keterampilan partisipatoris, serta karakter kewarganegaraan yang meliputi karakter privat dan karakter publik. Namun, dalam realitanya pelajaran PKn dianggap sebagai pelajaran yang menjenuhkan karena ditemukan proses pembelajaran yang hanya menekankan pada aspek kognitif peserta didik yang sifatnya mengafal suatu teori. Model project citizen berfokus pada keterlibatan peserta didik dalam keseluruhan proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dan melibatkan 56 peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar di SDN 053 Cisitu Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari soal pilihan ganda, soal essay, kuesioner, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu : (1) model project citizen menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi civic skills peserta didik dari rata-rata pre-test hingga post-test (2) model project citizen menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi civic disposition peserta didik dari rata-rata pre-test hingga post-test, (3) Proses pelaksanaan model project citizen dalam meningkatkan civic skills dan civic disposition memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih partispatif dan bermakna. Maka dapat disimpulkan dari hasil analisis diatas bahwa model project citizen merupakan treatment yang tepat digunakan dalam meningkatkan civic skills dan civic disposition kelas V sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu, model project citizen ini direkomendasikan untuk dapat diaplikasikan dalam pelajaran PKn di sekolah dasar. This study discusses how the citizen project model affects students' civic skills and disposition in elementary school PKn (Civics Education). Civic skills and civic disposition competencies are essential competencies of civic education in a democratic society which include intellectual skills and participatory skills, as well as civic characteristics which include private and public characters. In reality, PKn lessons are considered as boring lessons because it is found that the learning process only emphasizes the cognitive aspects, leading students to focus on memorizing theories. The project citizen model focuses on student involvement in the entire learning process. This study uses a quasi-experimental method and involves 56 students in grade V of elementary school at SDN 053 Cisitu Bandung City. The instruments used consisted of multiple-choice questions, essay questions, questionnaires, and observational assessments. The results of this study are: (1) the citizen project model shows a significant influence on the civic skills competency of students from the average pre-test to the post-test (2) the citizen project model shows a significant influence on the civic disposition competence of students from the average pre-test to post-test, (3) the process of implementing the citizen project model in improving civic skills and civic disposition provides a more participatory learning experience and Meaningful. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the citizen project model is an effective approach for enhancing civic skills and civic dispositions in fifth-grade elementary school students. Consequently, it is recommended that this citizen project model be implemented in PKn (Civics Education) lessons in elementary schools.
