Abstract
Pendidikan Karakter merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pembentukan generasi muda yang berkualitas dan memiliki integritas. Namun, tantangan dalam mengembangkan Pendidikan Karakter yang efektif, terutama pada anak usia dini, masih dihadapi oleh banyak lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis, dan menguji efektivitas strategi Pendidikan Karakter Pancasila berbasis kearifan budaya lokal Papancakan untuk meningkatkan karakter kepemimpinan, demokrasi dan gotong royong pada peserta didik Taman Kanak-kanak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mix method) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui desain kuasi-eksperimen dan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pendekatan kuantitatif melibatkan kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen dari TK Darul Hikam dan TK Taruna Bakti di Kota Bandung. Sementara itu, data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua siswa; observasi terhadap siswa; serta studi dokumentasi yang mencakup visi, misi, kurikulum, dan program pembelajaran yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, strategi Pendidikan Karakter Pancasila berbasis kearifan budaya lokal Papancakan efektif meningkatkan karakter kepemimpinan, demokrasi, dan gotong royong pada siswa taman kanak-kanak, dengan rata-rata skor post-test meningkat 18.00 poin di TK Taruna Bakti dan 1.92 poin di TK Darul Hikam. Kedua, keberhasilan strategi ini didukung oleh motivasi guru dan orang tua, lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif, serta keterlibatan wali murid. Hambatan seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dapat diatasi melalui sinergi dan pelatihan. Ketiga, integrasi nilai-nilai kearifan budaya lokal Papancakan dengan pembelajaran pendidikan karakter pancasila dapat meningkatkan pemahaman karakter kepemimpinan dengan skor rata-rata di TK Darul Hikam meningkat 3.60 poin dan di TK Taruna Bakti meningkat 3.80 poin; karakter demokrasi dengan skor rata-rata di TK Darul Hikam meningkat 3.30 poin dan di TK Taruna Bakti meningkat 3.70 poin, dan karakter gotong royong dengan skor rata-rata di TK Darul Hikam meningkat 3.20 poin dan di TK Taruna Bakti meningkat 3.80 poin. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan terjadinya penguatan karakter kepemimpinan, demokrasi, dan gotong royong yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa strategi pembelajaran Pendidikan Karakter Pancasila berbasis kearifan budaya lokal melalui permainan tradisional Papancakan dapat meningkatkan karakter kepemimpinan, demokrasi, dan gotong royong pada peserta didik Taman Kanak-kanak. Character Education is a crucial aspect in shaping a generation of high quality and integrity. However, challenges in developing effective Character Education, especially for young children, are still faced by many educational institutions. This study aims to analyze and test the effectiveness of the Pancasila Character Education strategy based on local cultural wisdom, Papancakan, to enhance leadership, democracy, and cooperation among kindergarten students. This research uses a mixed method approach, combining quantitative methods through a quasi-experimental design and qualitative methods through descriptive qualitative techniques. The quantitative approach involves control and experimental groups from Darul Hikam and Taruna Bakti Kindergartens in Bandung City. Meanwhile, qualitative data were collected through interviews with principals, teachers, and parents; observations of students; and documentation studies including the vision, mission, curriculum, and relevant learning programs. The results show that firstly, the Pancasila Character Education strategy based on local cultural wisdom, Papancakan, effectively enhances leadership, democracy, and cooperation characters in kindergarten students, with an average post-test score increase of 18.00 points at Taruna Bakti Kindergarten and 1.92 points at Darul Hikam Kindergarten. Secondly, the success of this strategy is supported by teacher and parent motivation, a conducive school environment, and parent involvement. Obstacles such as limited facilities can be overcome through synergy and training. Thirdly, integrating the values of local wisdom, Papancakan, with Pancasila character education can enhance the understanding of leadership character with an average score increase of 3.60 points at Darul Hikam and 3.80 points at Taruna Bakti; democracy character with an average score increase of 3.30 points at Darul Hikam and 3.70 points at Taruna Bakti; and cooperation character with an average score increase of 3.20 points at Darul Hikam and 3.80 points at Taruna Bakti. This increase indicates the strengthening of leadership, democracy, and cooperation characters consistent with Pancasila values. Thus, this study proves that the Pancasila Character Education strategy based on local cultural wisdom through the traditional game Papancakan can enhance leadership, democracy, and cooperation characters in kindergarten students.
