Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya penguasaan konsep bentuk geometri menggunakan media pembelajaran twister yang harus dipahami anak, karena pemahaman pada konsep bentuk geometri terkait dengan kehidupan sehari-hari anak. Twister geometri merupakan alat yang mempermudah guru khususnya dalam menyajikan pembelajaran mengenai bentuk geometri kepada anak kelompok 5-6 tahun. Sehingga anak dapat mengenali bentuk geometri dan warna yang menarik untuk membuat suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep bentuk geometri anak pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol sebelum pengunaan media pembelajaran twister. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonquivalent Control Group Design. Lokasi penelitian yang dilakukan yakni di TK Kecamatan Cidadap Kota Bandung. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas B yang dibagi menjadi dua kelas, yaitu kelas B2 berjumlah 12 anak dan kelas B3 berjumlah 12 anak, dengan jumlah keseluruhan 24 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data awal pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol memiliki kemampuan yang sama, yakni berada dalam kategori rendah dan sedang. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji statistik menggunakan t-test independen pada data akhir diperoleh hasil p value 0,00 < 0,05, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan media twister untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep bentuk geometri bagi anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media twister dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep bentuk geometri bagi anak kelas B TK Kecamatan Cidadap Kota Bandung. Rekomendasi untuk guru atau kepala sekolah yaitu media twister sebagai salah satu media yang menyenangkan dalam pembelajaran meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal betuk geometri bagi anak. This research is based on the importance of mastering the concept of geometry shapes using twister learning media that children must understand, because understanding the concept of geometry shapes is related to everyday life. Concept is related to the daily life of the child. Twister geometry is a tool that makes it easier for teachers, especially in presenting learning about geometry shapes to children of 5-6 years. So that children can recognize geometric shapes and attractive colors to create a fun learning atmosphere. learning atmosphere that is fun. This study aims to determine the mastery of the concept of geometry shapes of children in the experimental group and control group before the use of twister learning media. The method used in this research is quasi-experiment with Nonquivalent Control Group research design. Research location the location of the research was in kindergarten in Cidadap District, Bandung City. Subjects in this study is a class B student who is divided into two classes, namely class B2 totaling 12 children and class B3 totaling 12 children, with a total of 12 children, B2 class totaling 12 children and B3 class totaling 12 children, with a total of 24 children. The results showed that the initial data in the experimental group and control group have the same ability, which is in the low and medium category.low and medium. Based on the calculation of statistical tests using independent t-test on the final data obtained p value 0.00 < 0.05, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the application of twister media to improve mastery of the concept of geometry shapes for children. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of twister media can improve mastery of the concept of geometric shapes for children in grade B kindergarten Cidadap District Bandung City. Recommendations for teachers or principals are twister media as one of the fun media in learning to improve the ability to recognize geometry shapes for children.
