Abstract
Kemampuan berpikir reflektif merupakan kemampuan tingkat tinggi yang menunjang kemampuan tingkat tinggi lainnya. Untuk itu dibutuhkan sikap daya juang produktif dalam berpikir reflektif khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu alternatif solusi untuk peningkatan dan pencapaian kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa (KBRMS) yaitu model predict-observe-explain (POE). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat perbedaan peningkatan dan pencapaian KBRMS menggunakan model POE yang dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung, perbedaan peningkatan KBRMS yang menggunakan model POE berdasarkan kategori KAM serta dilihat juga efek interaksi dari model pembelajaran dan KAM terhadap KBRMS. Selain itu, dikaji juga perbedaan pencapaian daya juang produktif (DJP) siswa yang menggunakan POE dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung, perbedaan pencapaian KBRMS menggunakan model POE ditinjau dari kategori DJPnya serta efek interaksi dari model pembelajaran dan DJP terhadap KBRMS. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis kuasi eksperimen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas IX SMP yang berjumlah 49 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan KBRMS antara siswa yang memperoleh model POE dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan POE berdasarkan kategori KAM; tidak terdapat efek interaksi antara model dan KAM terhadap KBRMS; terdapat perbedaan pencapaian KBRMS siswa yang memperoleh model POE dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung; terdapat perbedaan pencapaian hasil skala daya juang produktif siswa yang memperoleh model POE; terdapat perbedaan pencapaian KBRMS berdasarkan kategori POE yaitu terletak pada kategori tinggi dengan rendah serta sedang dengan rendah, dan terdapat efek interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan POE terhadap KBRMS. Reflective thinking ability is a high-level ability that supports other high-level abilities. For this reason, a productive struggle is needed in reflective thinking, especially in learning mathematics. One alternative solution to improve and achieve students' mathematical reflective thinking ability (KBRMS) is the predict-observe-explain (POE) model. The purpose of this study is to see the difference in the improvement and achievement of KBRMS using the POE model compared to students using the direct learning model, the difference in the improvement of KBRMS using the POE model based on the KAM category and also the interaction effect of the learning model and KAM on KBRMS. In addition, the difference in achievement of productive struggle (DJP) of students using POE compared to students using direct learning model, the difference in achievement of KBRMS using the POE model based on the productive struggle (DJP) category and the interaction effect of learning model and DJP on KBRMS were also studied. The method used in this research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental type. The research sample was ninth grade junior high school students totaling 49 students. The results showed that there was a difference in the improvement of KBRMS between students who obtained the POE model and students who obtained direct learning; there was no difference in POE improvement based on the KAM category; there was no interaction effect between the model and KAM on KBRMS; there was a difference in the achievement of KBRMS of students who obtained the POE model with students who obtained direct learning; there was a difference in the achievement of productive struggle scale results of students who obtained the POE model; there was a difference in the achievement of KBRMS based on the POE category, which was located in the high and low and medium and low categories, and there was an interaction effect between the learning model and POE on KBRMS.
