Abstract
Abstract Motivasi memiliki peranan penting dalam mengubah perilaku. Secara psikologis, motivasi merupakan dorongan yang dapat mengarahkan individu untuk melakukan kegiatan yang bermanfaat dan berguna. Untuk meningkatkan motivasi terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa juga diharapkan Salah satu pendekatan konstruktivisme yaitu dengan menggunakan model discovery Learning. Peningkatan Motivasi belajar siswa dengan model discovery learning berbasis media visual diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan bagi guru dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya sebagai informasi mengenai gambaran sejauh mana peningkatan kemampuan siswa pada jenjang SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan teknik kuesioner berupa angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan hasil pengukuran motivasi belajar peserta didik di kelas X6 sebelum di berikan treatment memiliki nilai motivasi rata-rata 7,1% . Setelah dilakukan treatment motivasi belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan yaitu rata-rata 9,8%. Penggunaan model discovery learning berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 2,7%. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan juga bahwa terdapat peningkatan motivasi siswa yang menggunakan model discovery learning. Kata Kunci: Discovery Learning, Motivasi, Angket, Siswa Motivation plays an important role in changing behavior. Psychologically, motivation is the drive that can guide individuals to engage in beneficial and useful activities. To enhance students' motivation towards learning activities, one of the constructivist approaches is expected to be the use of the discovery learning model. The improvement of students' learning motivation through the visual media-based discovery learning model is hoped to be beneficial for teachers and future researchers as information regarding the extent of students' skill enhancement at the high school level. This research uses a descriptive-comparative method with a quantitative approach. With the data collection technique using a questionnaire in the form of a survey. The results of this study indicate that the measurement of learning motivation among students in class X6 before the treatment had an average motivation score of 7,1 %. After the treatment was implemented, the students' learning motivation increased to an average of 9,8%. The use of the discovery learning model significantly influenced the enhancement of students' learning motivation, with an average increase of 2,7%. Based on the data, it can also be concluded that there is an increase in student motivation when using the discoverylearningmodel. Keywords: Discovery Learning, Motivation, Questionnaire, Students
