Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu sekolah negeri di Provinsi Banten yang sering dijadikan sebagai contoh sekolah unggulan adalah SMAN Cahaya Madani Banten Boarding School. SMAN CMBBS telah melakukan pembentukan school branding melalui penguatan digital marketing. Namun, sekolah tersebut belum melakukan analisis kondisi organisasi dan sumber daya sekolah secara mendalam yang dapat menjadi acuan untuk pengembangan school branding ke depannya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi organisasi sekolah dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja McKinsey 7S. Kerangka kerja McKinsey 7S adalah sebuah alat dari manajemen berbasis nilai yang dapat diaplikasikan pada lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah para wakil kepala sekolah, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, wali asuh, siswa, dan alumni SMAN CMBBS. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi ATLAS.ti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang dapat menjadi pendukung dalam pengembangan school branding di SMAN CMBBS ada pada elemen strategy, structure, system, staff, skill, style, dan shared value. Sedangkan faktor yang dapat menjadi penghambat dalam pengembangan school branding di SMAN CMBBS ada pada elemen skill, style, dan shared value. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk pengembangan school branding ke depannya, SMAN CMBBS dapat mengandalkan perencanaan strategi prestasi dan kegiatan sekolah, struktur tim HUMAS, sistem sekolah yang terbuka, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan yang kolaboratif, pengembangan kompetensi pendidik dari komunitas belajar, gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang demokratis, serta nilai cerdas dan karakter dalam budaya sekolah. SMAN CMBBS has established a school brand through the implementation of a robust digital marketing strategy. However, the school has not yet conducted a comprehensive analysis of its organizational structure and available resources, which could inform future development of its branding strategy. In light of the above, the objective of this study is to analyse the condition of the school organisation using the McKinsey 7S framework. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects are vice principals, educators and education personnel, foster guardians, students, and alumni of SMAN CMBBS. This research employs a variety of data collection methods, including interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data analysis technique employed in this study utilized the ATLAS.ti application. The results demonstrated that the key factors that can facilitate the development of school branding at SMAN CMBBS are found within the elements of strategy, structure, system, staff, skill, style, and shared value. The factors that could impede the development of school branding at SMAN CMBBS are in the elements of skill, style, and shared value. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that SMAN CMBBS can rely on the following factors to develop its school branding in the future: strategic planning of school achievements and activities, an open school system, an open school system, a collaborative approach to education and personnel, competency development of educators from the learning community, a democratic leadership style of the principal, and smart values and characters in the school culture.
