Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam film ‘L’Ecume des Jours’ karya Michel Gondry, dan makna yang terkandung dalam gaya bahasa tersebut, serta penggunaannya bagi pembelajaran Français des Médias. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah film L’Ecume des Jours karya Michel Gondry dengan batasan durasi 1 jam 30 menit dan dengan sampel berupa teks ujaran atau percakapan dlam film L’Ecume des Jours yang berjumlah 382 ujaran. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampel purposif atau purposive sampling. Adapun teknik dalam menganalisis data penelitian menggunakan teori gaya bahasa Gorys Keraf (2009), yaitu gaya bahasa berdasarkan stuktur kalimat, dan langsung tidaknya makna. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat 103 data yang mengandung variasi gaya bahasa dari dua kelompok gaya bahasa menurut Gorys Keraf (2009), yaitu (1) gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat (klimaks, paralelisme, antithesis, dan repetisi (epizeukis, tautotes, anafora, epistrofa, simploke, epanalepsis, anadiplosis)), dan (2) gaya bahasa berdasarkan langsung tidaknya makna (aliterasi, asonansi, polisindeton, eufimisme, litotes, pleonasme, zeugma, hiperbol, simile, metafora, personifikasi, alusi, epitet, metonimia, ironi, sarkasme, satire, inuendo, dan pun atau paronomasia). Adapun makna yang terkandung di dalam gaya bahasa tersebut adalah makna denotatif yang berjumlah 48 data dan makna konotatif yang berjumlah 55 data. Dengan demikian, peneliti merekomendasikan film tersebut dapat menjadi media pembelajaran alternatif pada mata kuliah Français des Médias di Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis, FPBS UPI. Kata kunci: gaya bahasa, makna, film The objectives of this study is to describe the figures of speech contained in the film 'L'Ecume des Jours' by Michel Gondry, and the meaning contained in the figures of speech, as well as its can be applied for the learning Français des Médias. The method that used was descriptive qualitative. The population in this study was the film L'Ecume des Jours by Michel Gondry with the limit of the duration of 1 hour 30 minutes and with sample which is the text speech or conversation on the film L'Ecume des Jours, amounting to 382 utterances. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling technique. The theory of the figures of speech that is used in this study was the theory of Gorys Keraf (2009) namely a style based on the structure of the sentence, and directly or absence of the meaning. Data collection techniques used is literature study and documentation. Based on this research, there are 103 data that contains the variations of the two groups according Gorys Keraf style (2009), namely (1) style based on the structure of the sentence (climax, parallelism, antithesis, and repetition (epizeukis, tautotes, anaphora, epistrofa, simploke , epanalepsis, anadiplosis)), and (2) style based directly or absence of meaning (alliteration, assonance, polisindeton, euphemism, litotes, redundancy, zeugma, hyperbole, simile, metaphor, personification, allusion, epithet, metonymy, irony, sarcasm, satire, inuendo, and any or paronomasia). As for the meaning contained in the language style is denotative totaling 48 data and connotative meanings totaling 55 data. Thus, the researchers recommend this film can be a learning media in the section of lectures Français des Médias in the French Ministry of Education, FPBS UPI.
