Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of puzzle games on reducing hand flapping movements in children on the autism spectrum at SDN 195 Isola. This research was carried out because hand flaping behavior in children can make it difficult for children to follow the learning process. This research is expermental research with a Single Subject Research (SSR) approach. The research design used in the ‘A-B-A’ design. The research subject were children on the autism spectrum in sixth grade at SDN 195 Isola. Data collection is carried out in three phases by recording events. The baseline-1 (A-1) phase is 3 sessions, the intervention phase (B) is 7 session, the baseline-2 (A-2) phase is 3 session. The result of the study shoe that the use of puzzle games can reduce hand flapping movements in autistic children. This is based on the overall research data, where the percentage of the mean level in each phase decreased, namely in the baseline-1 (A-1) phase 26, in the intervention phase (B) the mean level decreased at 14,71 and in the baseline-2 (A-2) phase (A-2) the mean level decreases to 9,33.
