Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ntuk menganalisis adanya pengaruh keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa setelah memperoleh model RADEC serta untuk membandingkan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang memperoleh model RADEC dan model PBL. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Cilengkrang, Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penerapan model RADEC terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS materi keragaman budaya di indonesia hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan rata-rata data N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,63, yang masuk kedalam kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan hasil uji-t dua sampel dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan antara peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Oleh karena itu, model RADEC terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dibandingkan dengan model PBL, sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif yang relevan untuk pengembangan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada siswa sekolah dasar. ---------- This research was motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in elementary schools. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of students' critical thinking skills after receiving the RADEC model and to compare the increase in critical thinking skills between students who received the RADEC model and the PBL model. The research method used in this research is quasiexperimental using nonequivalent control group design. The sample used in this research was grade IV elementary school students in Cilengkrang District, Bandung City. The research results show that there is an influence of the application of the RADEC model on students' critical thinking skills in social studies subjects on cultural diversity in Indonesia. This is proven by the average N-Gain data obtained for the experimental class of 0.63, which is in the medium category. The research results also show that there is a difference in the increase in critical thinking skills of experimental class and control class students. This is proven by the results of a two-sample t-test with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.00, which means there is a difference between the increase in critical thinking skills of experimental class and control class students. Therefore, the RADEC model is proven to be more effective in improving critical thinking skills compared to the PBL model, so it can be a relevant alternative for developing higher order thinking skills in elementary school students.
