Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya kemampuan dan pemahaman guru pada proses pembelajaran, guru masih menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Maka dari itu, dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif tentunya akan menambah semangat, kreatif, pengalaman dan motivasi siswa ketika belajar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan seberapa signifikan pengaruh model Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI pada materi Sistem Tata Surya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pada sesuatu yang diberikan perlakuan (treatment) yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh model Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI, yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil uji paired sample t-test yang menunjukkan data pre-test dan post-test kelas eksperimen adalah .000 yang berarti Hₐ diterima, dan rata-rata (mean) gain kelas eksperimen 0.72 jika dalam bentuk persennya yakni 72%, sedangkan kelas kontrol didapatkan rata-rata (mean) indeks gain yaitu 0.18 jika dalam bentuk persennya yakni 18%, kedua persentase ini menunjukkan bahwa keduanya cukup efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Namun berdasarkan pengujian penggunaan model Project Based Learning menggunakan media sebagai kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penggunaan model Project Based Learning tanpa menggunakan media sebagai kelas kontrol. ------- This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students caused by the lack of ability and understanding of teachers in the learning process, teachers still use conventional learning. Therefore, by using a more innovative learning model, it will certainly increase students' enthusiasm, creativity, experience and motivation when learning. Based on these problems, researchers conducted research with the aim of determining the influence and how significant the influence of the Project Based Learning model is to improve the learning outcomes of grade VI students on the Solar System material. The method used in this study is a quasi-experiment, with the aim of determining the influence on something that is given treatment, namely the control class and the experimental class. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of the Project Based Learning model to improve the learning outcomes of grade VI students, as indicated by the results of the paired sample t-test which shows the pre-test and post-test data of the experimental class is .000 which means Hₐ is accepted, and the average (mean) gain of the experimental class is 0.72 if in the form of a percentage, namely 72%, while the control class obtained an average (mean) gain index of 0.18 if in the form of a percentage, namely 18%, both of these percentages indicate that both are quite effective for use in learning. However, based on testing the use of the Project Based Learning model using media as an experimental class has a higher value compared to the use of the Project Based Learning model without using media as a control class.
