Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurang bervariasinya penggunaan model pembelajaran yang digunakan pendidik sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran PjBL terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen jenis kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent pretest and posttest Control Group Desain. Sampel penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 050 Cibiru sebanyak 56 peserta didik yang ditentukan melalui teknik Pusposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran PjBL memiliki peranan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik dilihat dari nilai rata-rata hasil pretest dan posttesti yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 40,69 menjadi 76,92. Selain itu, Uji perbedaan rerata dependent sample yang dilakukan berada lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 0,05 yaitu 0,00. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PjBL berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Sehingga model pembelajaran PjBL dapat menjadi solusi alternatif bagi pendidik untuk dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika pada pokok bahasan satuan panjang guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik. --------- This research is motivated by the lack of variety in the use of learning models used by educators so that it has an impact on the low mathematical understanding ability of students. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of knowing whether or not there is an effect of using the PjBL learning model on the mathematical understanding ability of elementary school students. This study used an experimental method of quasi-experiment type with Nonequivalent pretest and posttest Control Group Design. The research sample was third grade students of State Elementary School 050 Cibiru as many as 56 students who were determined through purposive sampling technique. The results obtained show that the PjBL learning model has a role in improving students' mathematical understanding skills seen from the average value of the pretest and posttest results obtained, which is 40.69 to 76.92. In addition, the dependent sample mean difference test conducted is smaller than the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.00, so it can be concluded that the PjBL learning model has an effect on improving the mathematical understanding skills of third grade elementary school students. So that the PjBL learning model can be an alternative solution for educators to be applied in the process of learning mathematics on the subject of unit length in order to improve the mathematical understanding ability of students.
