Abstract

Pelaksanaan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan kreativitas siswa pada materi zat tunggal dan campuran. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas V di salah satu SD negeri di Garut sejumlah 30 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan software IBM SPSS versi 27 dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji beda rata-rata dan uji N-Gain untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan model RADEC pada kemampuan kognitif siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pretest sebesar 46,98 dan rata-rata posttest sebesar 82,50. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan kognitif sebelum dan sesudah implementasi model pembelajaran RADEC, (2) peningkatan kemampuan kognitif berada pada kategori sedang; dan (3) kreatifitas pada indikator originalitas memperoleh rata-rata 82.14, pada indikator kompleksitas diperoleh rata-rata 60,71, dan indikator improvisai diperoleh rata-rata 57.14. Dalam tahapan create siswa dapat memunculkan suatu karya sederhana sebagai bukti adanya kreativitas yang mereka miliki. Salah satu karya yang dibuat berupa gambar, lirik lagu, poster serta lingkaran kertas berputar. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan kreativitas siswa. The implementation of this study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the RADEC learning model on students' cognitive abilities and creativity in single and mixed substance materials. The participants in this study are class V in one of the state elementary schools in Garut with a total of 30 people. This study uses a quantitative research method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used in this study are tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this study uses the help of IBM SPSS software version 27 by using the normality test, homogeneity test, mean difference test and N-Gain test to analyze the effectiveness of using the RADEC model on students' cognitive ability. The results showed that the average pretest was 46.98 and the average posttest was 82.50. The results of the study showed: (1) there were differences in cognitive ability before and after the implementation of the RADEC learning model, (2) the improvement of cognitive ability is in the medium category; and (3) creativity in the originality indicator obtained an average of 82.14, in the complexity indicator obtained an average of 60.71, and in the improvisation indicator obtained an average of 57.14. In the create stage, students can come up with a simple work as proof of their creativity. One of the works made is in the form of pictures, song lyrics, posters and spinning paper circles. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the RADEC learning model is effectively used to improve students' cognitive abilities and creativity.
