Abstract

Clara Fadhilah Inayah. (2024), Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Peserta Didik SMP Pada Materi SPLDV Berdasarkan Self-Efficacy. Kemampuan representasi matematis merupakan kemampuan menyajikan kembali notasi, simbol, tabel, gambar, grafik, diagram, persamaan atau ekspresi matematis lainnya kedalam bentuk yang lain. Self-efficacy merupakan salah satu faktor personal yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan representasi matematis seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik, tingkat self-efficacy (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah) peserta didik, dan kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik SMP pada materi SPLDV berdasarkan self-efficacy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX di salah satu SMP swasta di Kota Bandung, Provinsi Jawa Barat yang telah mempelajari SPLDV. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu, tes kemampuan representasi matematis, angket skala self-efficacy, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya ada satu peserta didik yang mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan representasi matematis. Indikator kemampuan representasi yang paling banyak di penuhi adalah representasi persamaan atau ekspresi matematis dan indikator yang paling sedikit dipenuhi adalah representasi visual. Tingkat Self-efficacy terbanyak yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik adalah tingkat Self-efficacy sedang. Kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik pada materi SPLDV berdasarkan tingkat Self-efficacy tinggi memenuhi paling sedikit dua dari tiga indikator. Peserta didik yang memiliki tingkat Self-efficacy sedang memenuhi paling banyak dua dari tiga indikator. Sedangkan peserta didik yang memiliki tingkat Self-efficacy rendah memenuhi paling banyak satu dari tiga indikator. Clara Fadhilah Inayah. (2024), Mathematical Representation Ability of Junior High School Students on SPLDV Material Based on Self-Efficacy Mathematical representation ability refers to the capacity to present mathematical notations, symbols, tables, images, graphs, diagrams, equations, or other mathematical expressions in alternative forms. Self-efficacy is one of the personal factors that can influence an individual's mathematical representation ability. This study aims to describe students' mathematical representation abilities, their self-efficacy levels (high, medium, and low), and their mathematical representation abilities in the topic of Linear Equation Systems with Two Variables (SPLDV) based on their self-efficacy levels. The study used a case study method with a qualitative approach. The subjects were ninth-grade students from a private junior high school in Bandung, West Java Province, who had studied SPLDV. Data collection instruments included a mathematical representation ability test, a self-efficacy scale questionnaire, and interview guidelines. The findings revealed that only one student was able to meet all indicators of mathematical representation ability. The most frequently achieved indicator was the representation of equations or mathematical expressions, while the least achieved indicator was visual representation. Most students were categorized as having medium self-efficacy levels. The students' mathematical representation abilities in SPLDV based on self-efficacy levels showed that those with high self-efficacy met at least two out of three indicators. Students with medium self-efficacy met up to two out of three indicators, while students with low self-efficacy met at most one out of three indicators.
