Abstract
Tingkat kinerja pegawai yang rendah menjadi permasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini. Hal ini dapat terlihat pada rekapitulasi absensi yang dikumpulkan dan diambil pada saat observasi di lapangan. Untuk menindaklanjuti permasalahan tersebut penulis menjadikan efektivitas komunikasi dan kecerdasan emosional sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Variabel bebas terdiri dari efektivitas komunikasi (X1) dan kecerdasan emosional (X2) sedangkan variabel terikatnya yaitu kinerja pegawai (Y). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis gambaran komunikasi, kecerdasan emosional dan kinerja pegawai di Lingkungan Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan serta untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh dari variabel komunikasi dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja pegawai. Metode penelitian bersifat deskriptif dan verifikatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai di Lingkungan Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 160 pegawai. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket atau kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS 19.0 Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas komunikasi tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kecerdasan Emosional tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi, Kecerdasan Emosional dan Kinerja Pegawai Low levels of employee performance into the main problems in this study. This study aims to identify and analyze the picture communication, emotional intelligence and performance of employees in the Regional Secretariat of Environment of South Bengkulu and to investigate and analyze the influence of the variable communication and emotional intelligence on employee performance. The research method is descriptive and verification. The population in this study were all employees of the Regional Secretariat of the Environment in South Bengkulu, with a total population of 160 employees. The research instrument using a questionnaire or questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS 19.0 Based on the results, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of communication is not positive and significant impact on employee performance.
