Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kecerdasan kognitif dan percaya diri siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Indikasinya bahwa siswa masih belum mengetahui materi bangun datar dan mampu mengungkapkan apa yang dipikirkan oleh dirinya dan merasa takut untuk tampil di depan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan Somatis, Auditori, Visual, Intelektual (SAVI) dalam rangka meningkatkan kecerdasan kognitif dan percaya diri siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan design eksperimen subjek tunggal (single subject research) menurut Rahmayani (2019, hlm. 25). Data dikumpulkan melalui tiga langkah, diantaranya fase baseline-1 (A-1), fase intervensi (B) dan fase baseline-2 (A-2). Data diolah setelah memperoleh hasil dari fase fase baseline-1 (A-1), fase intervensi (B) dan fase baseline-2 (A-2) sehingga hasil data tersebut akan menghasilkan sebuah kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan SAVI meningkat terhadap kecerdasan kognitif dan percaya diri siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika yang berinisial RF kelas III di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kota Tasikmalaya. Pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan SAVI terhadap kecerdasan kognitif dan percaya diri siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematika mengalami peningkatan dengan persentase sebesar 91,0% yang dikategorikan sangat baik, yang menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik memiliki pemahaman yang sangat baik dalam pembelajaran bangun datar. This research is motivated by the low cognitive intelligence and self-confidence of students during the learning process. The indication is that students still do not know the material about flat shapes and are able to express what they think and feel afraid to appear in front of the class. This research aims to describe the application of the Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual (SAVI) approach in order to increase the cognitive intelligence and self-confidence of third grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is quantitative experimental research with a single subject research design according to Rahmayani (2019, p. 25). Data was collected through three steps, including baseline phase-1 (A-1), intervention phase (B) and baseline phase-2 (A-2). The data is processed after obtaining the results from the baseline phase-1 (A-1), intervention phase (B) and baseline phase-2 (A-2) so that the results of the data will produce a conclusion that the use of the SAVI approach increases cognitive intelligence and trust. students in mathematics with the initials R in class III at one of the elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. The effect of using the SAVI approach on students' cognitive intelligence and self-confidence in mathematics subjects has increased with a percentage of 91.0% which is categorized as very good, which shows that students have a very good understanding in learning flat figures.
