Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan keresahan dan keinginan untuk turut berkontribusi kepada masyarakat sekitar tempat tinggal peneliti, kaitannya dengan potensi keterlibatan peran edukatif keluarga dalam mengayakan literasi dini di lingkungan Kecamatan Cilengkrang Kabupaten Bandung, di mana keluarga adalah fondasi pembentukan budaya dan karakter serta merupakan lingkungan primer yang pertama kali dikenali oleh anak. Tertanamnya budaya literasi pada anak Usia Dini tidak bisa dilepaskan dari faktor budaya yang terbangun di lingkungan keluarga, sehingga peneliti merasa penting untuk menelusuri kekayaan literasi apa saja yang terobservasi pada anak usia dini di lingkungan kerluarga. Sejumlah 5 partisipan digali informasinya melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan wawancara, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ragam persepsi para orang tua terkait makna dan pentingnya literasi dini, termasuk hambatan yang dihadapi orang tua dalam proses mengedukasi putra-putrinya, seperti keteralihan anak pada gadget, keterbatasan jumlah buku yang tersedia, serta manajemen waktu yang dimiliki orang tua dalam membagi waktu yang ada sehingga kebutuhan aktivitasliterasi anak-anak di rumah dapat terakomodasi. Adapun rekomendasi secara khusus diperuntukkan kepada pihak pemerintah setempat, di mana bagian dari tugas besar mendidik anggota masyarakat dimulai dengan membangun pola pikir positif (mindset). This research is motivated by the anxiety and desire to contribute to the community around the researcher's residence, related to the potential involvement of the educative role of the family in enriching early literacy in the Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency, where the family is the foundation for the formation of culture and character and is the primary environment that is first known by children. The instillation of a culture of literacy in early childhood cannot be separated from the cultural factors that are built in the family environment, so researchers feel it is important to explore what literacy riches are observed in early childhood in the family environment. A total of 5 participants explored their information through data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews, using a qualitative approach and case study method. The results of the study showed a variety of perceptions of parents regarding the meaning and importance of early literacy, including obstacles faced by parents in the process of educating their children, such as children's distractions on gadgets, limited number of books available, and time management that parents have in dividing the available time so that the needs of children's literacy activities at home can be accommodated. Recommendations are specifically directed to local government, where part of the big task of educating community members begins with building positive mindsets (way of thinking).
