Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh terpaan konten YouTube Jerome Polin terhadap minat mahasiswa mengikuti studi di Jepang. Variabel bebas (X) dalam penelitian ini adalah pengaruh terpaan konten YouTube Jerome Polin dengan sub variabel frekuensi, durasi, dan atensi. Variabel X akan diukur pengaruhnya terhadap variabel terikat (Y) yaitu minat mahasiswa mengikuti studi di Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 10.100.000 orang. Adapun teknik sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah non-probability sampling dengan total sampel 400 responden mahasiswa pengikut akun YouTube Jerome Polin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut. Kesatu, terdapat pengaruh frekuensi terpaan konten YouTube Jerome Polin terhadap minat mahasiswa mengikuti Studi di Jepang. Kedua, terdapat pengaruh durasi terpaan konten YouTube Jerome Polin terhadap minat mahasiswa mengikuti Studi di Jepang. Ketiga, terdapat pengaruh atensi terpaan konten YouTube Jerome Polin terhadap minat mahasiswa mengikuti Studi di Jepang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terpaan konten YouTube Jerome Polin (X) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap minat mahasiswa mengikuti Studi di Jepang (Y). Besar pengaruh variabel independen (X) terhadap variabel dependen (Y) adalah 63.9 sementara 36.1% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. This study aims to analyze the influence of exposure to Jerome Polin's YouTube content on students' interest in participating in student exchange programs in Japan. The independent variable (X) in this study is the influence of exposure to Jerome Polin's YouTube content, with sub-variables including frequency, duration, and attention. Variable X will be measured for its impact on the dependent variable (Y), which is students' interest in participating in student exchange programs in Japan. This study uses a with quantitative approach. The population in this study amounts to 10,100,000 individuals. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling with a total sample of 400 student respondents who follow Jerome Polin's YouTube account. The study results are as follows. First, there is an influence of the frequency of exposure to Jerome Polin's YouTube content on students' interest in participating in student exchange programs in Japan. Second, there is an influence of the duration of exposure to Jerome Polin's YouTube content on students' interest in participating in student exchange programs in Japan. Third, there is an influence of attention to Jerome Polin's YouTube content on students' interest in participating in student exchange programs in Japan. It can be concluded that exposure to Jerome Polin's YouTube content (X) significantly influences students' interest in participating in student exchange programs in Japan (Y). The influence of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y) is 63.9%, while the remaining 36.1% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
