Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini sedang menghadapi permasalahan rendahnya akhlak khususnya dikalangan remaja, seperti tawuran antar siswa, putus asa, narkoba dan kurangnya rasa hormat terhadap guru. Keadaan kemerosotan moral ini menunjukkan bahwa pengenalan nilai-nilai karakter yang diperoleh di sekolah belum sepenuhnya berhasil, karena tidak membuahkan hasil yang signifikan dalam mengubah kehidupan peserta didik sehari-hari. Dalam mewujudkan nilai karakter peserta didik, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai karakter bersahabat dan komunikatif melalui kegiatan pramuka. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, yakni memaparkan secara lebih mendalam tentang nilai karakter bersahabat dan komunikatif melalui kegiatan pramuka di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan disalah satu sekolah dasar yang ada di Desa Nagarasari, Kecamatan Cipedes, Kota Tasikmalaya, Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan subjek penelitian ini, yakni; kepala sekolah, 2 pembina pramuka dan 12 peserta didik dan waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 April 2024 sampai dengan 31 Mei 2024. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwasannya dalam mewujudkan nilai karakter bersahabat dan komunikatif melalui kegiatan pramuka berdasarkan hasil observasi, peneliti melihat tingkah laku peserta didik seperti sikap saling menghargai, tolong-menolong, sikap senang berbicara, senang bergaul dan sikap rasa ingin tahu. Dalam hal ini, kegiatan pramuka sebagai pendorong nilai karakter memungkinkan nilai karakter tersebut tertanam pada diri peserta didik. Education in Indonesia is currently facing the problem of low morals, especially among teenagers, such as brawls between students, despair, drugs and a lack of respect for teachers. This state of moral decline shows that the introduction of character values obtained at school has not been completely successful, because it has not produced significant results in changing the daily lives of students. In realizing the character values of students, this research aims to analyze the values of friendly and communicative character through scout activities. This research was conducted through a qualitative research approach using descriptive qualitative methods, namely explaining in more depth the value of friendly and communicative character through scout activities in elementary schools. This research was carried out in one of the elementary schools in Nagarasari Village, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City, West Java Province with the subjects of this research, namely; the principal, 2 scout leaders and 12 students and the time of the research was carried out from 24 April 2024 to 31 May 2024. This research obtained results that in realizing the value of friendly and communicative character through scout activities based on the results of observations, the researcher looked at the behavior of the students such as an attitude of mutual respect, mutual help, an attitude of being happy to talk, being happy to socialize and an attitude of curiosity. In this case, scout activities as a driver of character values enable these character values to be embedded in students.
