Abstract
The study was conducted to determine the effect of the use of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) to increased critical thinking skills of students of class X on Money and bank subject in Mutiara Sandi Baleendah’s Highschool. Using a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent pretest form-posttest control group. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 21 with parametric statistics, the average difference test, gain score and effect size calculations. The results showed differences in improvement of critical thinking skills class students experiment with using cooperative learning model TPS higher than the control class students. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X pada materi uang dan Bank di SMA Mutiara Sandi Baleendah. Desain penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan bentuk nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS versi 21 dengan statistik parametrik, uji beda rata-rata, gain score dan perhitungan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan peserta didik kelas kontrol.
