Abstract
Kurikulum merdeka menuntut sekolah untuk menciptakan kemampuan yang diperlukan pada abad 21 atau yang biasa dirumuskan dalam 4C salah satunya berpikir kritis. Di SMAN 22 Bandung peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi akar masalah, mengumpulkan informasi yang relevan, dan mengembangkan solusi yang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning dan Model Discovery Learning terhadap berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Geografi di SMAN 22 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental atau eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah 5 soal uraian dan 10 pernyataan angket menggunakan indikator berpikir kritis Ennis (2011). Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh kelas XI dengan sampel yaitu kelas XI-3 (Kelas eksperimen) dan XI-5 (Kelas Kontrol). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebelum dan sesudah perlakukan (Problem Based Learning) pada kelas eksperimen. 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebelum dan sesudah perlakukan (Discovery Learning) pada kelas kontrol. 3) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning dan Model Discovery Learning terhadap berpikir kritis, dengan Model Problem Based Learning yang lebih besar pengaruhnya, hal itu berdasarkan pada hasil uji regresi linier sederhana yaitu 1% pengaruh dari model Problem Based Learning (X), maka tingkat berpikir kritis peserta didik (Y) akan meningkat sebesar 0,428. Adapun saran dari penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik dan guru perlu paham terkait dengan tahapan-tahapan Model Problem Based Learning agar selama pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik. The independent curriculum requires schools to create the skills needed in the 21st century or commonly formulated in the 4Cs, one of which is critical thinking. At SMAN 22 Bandung, students still have difficulty in identifying the root of the problem, gathering relevant information, and developing effective solutions. The purpose of this study was to analyse the difference in the effect of Problem Based Learning Model and Discovery Learning Model on students' critical thinking in Geography subject at SMAN 22 Bandung. The research method used is Quasi Experimental or experiment with research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research Instrumens used were 5 description questions and 10 questionnaire statements using Ennis' critical thinking indicators (2011). The research population included all XI classes with samples of XI-3 (experimental class) and XI-5 (control class). The results showed that: 1) There is a difference in critical thinking skills before and after treatment (Problem Based Learning) in the experimental class. 2) There is a difference in critical thinking skills before and after treatment (Discovery Learning) in the control class. 3) There is a difference in the effect of the Problem Based Learning Model and the Discovery Learning Model on critical thinking, with the Problem Based Learning Model having a greater effect, it is based on the results of a simple linear regression test, namely 1% of the effect of the Problem Based Learning model (X), the level of critical thinking of students (Y) will increase by 0.428. The suggestions from this study are that students and teachers need to understand related to the stages of the Problem Based Learning Model so that during student centered learning.
