    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi bahwa media animasi stop motion berpeluang diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Hal ini didukung oleh capaian pembelajaran fase C kelas VI sekolah dasar elemen menulis, yakni peserta didik mampu menulis teks eksplanasi, laporan, dan eksposisi persuasif dari gagasan, hasil pengamatan, dan imajinasi. Namun, setelah melakukan studi pendahuluan, hal tersebut belum sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum dan belum dibuktikan sehingga penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengujikan dan mencari pengaruh penggunaan media animasi stop motion di jenjang sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pra-eksperimental. Desain dalam penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VI SDN 2 Cibalanarik yang berjumlah sebanyak 31 siswa. Untuk sampel yang digunakan dipilih berdasarkan teknik sampel jenuh yaitu sebanyak 31 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan tes. Adapun teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial, dimana untuk statistik inferensial ini melakukan 2 proses pengujian diantaranya uji prasyarat (uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas) dan uji hipotesis (uji t-test). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media animasi stop motion berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VI SDN 2 Cibalanarik. Hal ini dibuktikan berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis (uji T) yang menunjukkan bahwa adanya nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 15,423 > 2,042, berdasarkan nilai df atau istilah degree of freedom (derajat kebebasan) yang berjumlah 30 dengan taraf kepercayaan 5%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animasi stop motion dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplaasi siswa kelas VI SDN 2 Cibalanarik.

    This research is motivated by the fact that stop motion animation media has the potential to be implemented in learning to write explanatory texts. This is supported by the learning achievements of phase C of grade VI elementary school writing elements, namely students are able to write explanatory texts, reports, and persuasive expositions from ideas, observations, and imagination. However, after conducting a preliminary study, this is not in accordance with the demands of the curriculum and has not been proven so that this study is focused on testing and finding the effect of using stop motion animation media at the elementary school level. The type of research used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental method. The design in this study uses a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all grade VI students of SDN 2 Cibalanarik, totaling 31 students. The sample used was selected based on the saturated sample technique, namely 31 students. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting a test. The data analysis technique was carried out through descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, where for inferential statistics, 2 testing processes were carried out including prerequisite tests (normality tests and homogeneity tests) and hypothesis tests (t-tests). The results of this study indicate that the use of stop motion animation media has a significant effect on the writing skills of grade VI students of SDN 2 Cibalanarik. This is proven based on the results of the hypothesis test (T test) which shows that there is a tcount value> ttable, namely 15.423 > 2.042, based on the df value or the term degree of freedom (degree of freedom) which is 30 with a confidence level of 5%. Thus, it can be concluded that stop motion animation media can influence the writing skills of explanatory texts of grade VI students of SDN 2 Cibalanarik.
