Abstract
ABSTRAK Dika Faiz Himmawan (2112966) Proses Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa SMP dalam Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Comprehensive Mathematics Instruction (CMI) Ditinjau dari Self-Efficacy Pemecahan masalah merupakan suatu kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan pemilihan langkah-langkah atau tindakan yang sesuai untuk mengubah situasi yang diinginkan. Penelitian terdahulu menyatakan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa belum optimal, sehingga perlu diberikan treatment yang dapat memberikan pengaruh positif pada proses pembelajaran siswa di sekolah. Tujuan utama penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan proses pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dalam implementasi model pembelajaran CMI berdasarkan kecenderungan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus sebagai model penelitiannya. Penelitian dengan pendekatan studi kasus, memungkinkan peneliti untuk mempertahankan karakter holistik dan makna pada setiap kejadian di kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah di wilayah Kecamatan Ciwaringin Kabupaten Cirebon, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Subjek yang dipilih yaitu siswa kelas VIII B dengan melibatkan 25 partisipan. Dalam penelitian ini, data dikumpulkan melalui berbagai instrumen yang meliputi instrumen tes dan non-tes. Instrumen tes dalam penelitian ini adalah pemberian soal matematika berbasis masalah, sedangkan instrumen non-tes yang digunakan meliputi check list observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar angket. Adapun materi yang diujikan pada saat tes pemecahan masalah matematis, yakni Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat self-efficacy siswa memiliki kecenderungan yang bervariasi, yaitu rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Proses pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan kecenderungan self-efficacy rendah menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama dalam memahami masalah. Proses pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan kecenderungan self-efficacy sedang sudah memenuhi komponen memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, dan melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian masalah. Proses pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan kecenderungan self-efficacy tinggi sangat baik, dibuktikan dengan jawaban mereka yang mendekati akurat. Kata Kunci: Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Comprehensive Mathematics Instruction (CMI), Self-Efficacy ABSTRACT Dika Faiz Himmawan (2112966) Mathematical Problem-Solving Process of Junior High School Students in the Implementation of the Comprehensive Mathematics Instruction (CMI) Learning Model: A Perspective on Self-Efficacy Problem solving is an activity related to selecting appropriate steps or actions to change a desired situation. Previous research indicates that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities have not yet been optimized, necessitating treatments that can positively influence the learning process in schools. The main objective of this research is to describe the process of students' mathematical problem solving in the implementation of the CMI learning model based on students' self-efficacy tendencies. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design as its research model. The case study approach allows researchers to maintain the holistic character and meaning of each real-life event. The study was conducted at a school in the Ciwaringin Subdistrict, Cirebon Regency, West Java Province. The selected subjects were 25 eighth-grade students from class VIII B. In this research, data were collected through various instruments, including test and non-test instruments. The test instrument in this study consisted of problem-based mathematics questions, while the non-test instruments included observation checklists, interview guidelines, and questionnaires. The material tested during the mathematical problem-solving tests was Linear Equations in Two Variables. The results show that students' self-efficacy levels varied, categorized as low, medium, and high. The mathematical problem-solving process of students with low self-efficacy faced various challenges, particularly in understanding the problems. The problem-solving process of students with medium self-efficacy met the components of understanding the problem, planning the solution, and implementing the problem-solving plan. The problem-solving process of students with high self-efficacy was excellent, as evidenced by their near-accurate answers.
