Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh perkembangan teknologi dan informasi telah mengaburkan batas budaya dan identitas nasional, khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa. Globalisasi, akses informasi tanpa batas, dan gaya hidup modern yang individualistik menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap pudarnya semangat kebangsaan. Mahasiswa Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter siswa dan berkontribusi terhadap pendidikan nasional. Dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan global dan lokal, program bela negara menjadi semakin relevan. Program bela negara yang diikuti mahasiswa PPG bertujuan memperkuat semangat kebangsaan, sehingga mereka dapat menanamkannya pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur pengaruh program bela negara dalam membentuk karakter semangat kebangsaan pada mahasiswa PPG Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survey dengan sampel sebanyak 100 responden dan penggunaan skala likert. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa para responden telah memiliki dasar pengetahuan dan sikap terkait bela negara. Selain itu, kebiasaan sehari-hari setelah mengikuti program bela negara berperan signifikan dalam membentuk karakter semangat kebangsaan mereka. Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi diantaranya adalah faktor partisipasi, cinta tanah air, dan kesadaran identitas nasional. Adapun hasil dari analisis regresi linier diketahui bahwa nilai signifikansi adalah 0.000<0.05, memiliki pearson correlation sebesar 0.688 dengan kata lain program bela negara berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter semangat kebangsaan. This research is motivated by the development of technology and information, which has blurred cultural boundaries and national identity, particularly among students. Globalization, unlimited access to information, and an increasingly individualistic modern lifestyle have raised concerns about the diminishing national spirit. Students in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) play a strategic role in shaping students' character and contributing to national education. In facing various global and local challenges, the national defense program has become increasingly relevant. The national defense program, followed by PPG students, aims to strengthen the national spirit so that they can instill it in their students. This study aims to measure the influence of the national defense program in building the national spirit character among PPG students at Indonesia University of Education. The research employs a quantitative approach and a survey method with a sample of 100 respondents and uses a Likert scale. The study found that respondents already possessed foundational knowledge and attitudes related to national defense. Additionally, daily habits after participating in the national defense program significantly contribute to shaping their national spirit character. The factors influencing this include participation, patriotism, and national identity awareness. The results of the linear regression analysis indicate that the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05, with a Pearson correlation of 0.688, indicating that the national defense program has a significant impact on the development of national spirit character.
